Israel is urged to give back land they claimed by winning wars and it hasn't worked out well - giving back that land.

I may be wrong but it is my understanding that this land ( West Bank & Gaza ) was part of the British mandate that created Israel. It was occupied after one of the first wars by Jordanian and Egyptian troops up until 67 when Israel took it back. The Golan Heights they took because Syrian snipers used touse the position to shoot at women and children in Israel.
