Developing . . .
My fear too...with Iran involved...it will escalate and involve the west vs. the extremists.
There is a difference between God withdrawing and God manuevering human beings like pawns on a chess board.
Do you believe God brings men to do evil so that He may use that evil for His good purposes?
Never happen. First, I don't think that Israel has aircraft capable of landing and taking off from carriers. Second, the US would not permit such assistance since it would be tatamount to declaring war against Iran without Congressional approval. Finally, it would hurt our efforts in Iraq and cause us major problems with the rest of the countries in the region, including Kuwait, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia.
They absolutely want this. Obviously, they think they're ready.
They were abducted by Hezbollah terrorists, and Hezbollah is not a Lebanese entity but a proxy army of Syria and Iran.
As the last elections made clear, the majority of Lebanese people do not support Hezbollah and want them out.
And surely you aren't ignorant that "Palestinians" indeed kidnapped an IDF soldier and imprisoned him in Gaza.
Israel has already gone after one of the lebanese army bases in an effort to get the soldiers back.
And rightly so. But maybe you are unaware that Lebanon is a tiny country, has sizeable Christian and Druze minorities who are Israel's only real allies in the region and that Israel shares a border with Lebanon.
If Israel were to nuke Lebanon - which is a powerless pawn of Syria and Iran - it would unstrategic, stupid and unjust.
And as a practical matter, if Lebanon is nuked, Israelis would get the fallout - Beirut is less than 70 miles from Israel.
Same here. Except my edginess is coming in the form of waves of chills.
I haven't felt this since 9/11.
God is NOT in control of earthly events, and everything serves His purpose.
As Frank Barone would say, "Holy crap!" This is one hot potato about ready to explode!
I think the Islamists want war with Israel. It's possible all the Islamic nations in the region (except for Iraq, cuz we're there?) could end up getting involved. Where does that leave our troops in Iraq?
Praying for Israel and our troops...
You have to wonder if the bigger players, i.e. Russia and China, have a hand in all of this.
Also, like I told my 21 year old son yesterday, watch all that's happening now, because you are seeing history being made at this very moment. This is quite possibly something you'll remember (and will talk about) for a long time to come.
A news report does not equal "complete public proof."
The Jihadists are trying to "internationalize" this war. I don't think they plan on actually winning any shooting war with Israel or the US. What they plan is to have either one attack Syria and/or Iran, in which case they will call for global jihad - and then Iran can collapse the world's economies by shutting down the strait of Hormuz, throwing the entire world into an economic meltdown - mixed in with terrorism and rioting islamoscumbags in major cities throughout the world. A two-fer.
Ahmadenejad WANTS this scenario. To him - this would be his religious success - setting the stage for the return of the 12th Imam.
God wanted the Egyptians drowned in the Red Sea. Otherwise, He would have continued holding back the water. Instead, He let the water crash over them.
God wanted Jericho destroyed. He knocked the walls down.
Sodom and Gomorrah, anyone?.....
I apologize if this is redundant, I am on lunch and haven't read the entire thread. But, I am wondering if North Korea isn't involved in this as well. They may think w/ the US attention divided between Iraq and NK issues that our military won't be able to also deal with those, Lebanon, Syria and Iran simultaneously.
Hezbollah using a new weapon - Thunder 1 - capable of reaching deeper into Israel.
The mad mullahs have their backs to the wall and they are getting ready to lash out.
Tehran delenda est
This will be enough to bring Putin onboard for a UNSC resolution, but doesn't help with China. China can't vote for sanctions against Iran and then veto sanctions against North Korea because it has interests in the Moslem countries (as well as a restive Moslem population of its own).
They certainly do little to help.
Absolutely. And Amb. Ed Walker, former Ambassador to Israel on FNC right now confirming just that.
