Lebanese Interior Minister Ahmed Fatfat called the airport strikes a "general act of war," Thursday saying they had nothing to do with Hizbullah, but were instead an attack against the country's "economic interests," especially its tourism industry, CNN reported on its Web Site.

In the long-term Asad might easily be followed by an Islamic regime even more hostile to Israel.

I don't see how any regime could possibly be more hostile to Israel.

And even if Assad, Jr's successor ain't, how about those wackdoodles in Iran?

But taking Lebanon out of the mix is a good start. It will make it harder for Syria and Iran to attack Israel by proxy.

Sorry, buster, we aren't playing by your rules anymore, we're playing by Chicago rules. They rough up one of your guys, you put one of their guys in the hospital. They put one of your guys in the hospital, you kill one of their guys, they kill one of your guys, you kill ten of theirs.

Most Iranians, especially the younger ones, hate the mullahs and aren't all that hostile to either Israel or the US.

Perhaps I am blinded by a real personal type hatred of the Assad regime. I hold him responsible for the deaths of 243 of my brothers.

I want him dead.

I want his family dead.

I want everyone associated with him dead.

I want the guy who cooked his breakfast this morning dead.

I want the guy who washes his car dead.

I want Hizbollah smashed completely, its leaders killed, and all its surviving followers crapping in their pants at the mere mention of America.

I want Boy Assads head on a pike outside Camp LeJeune NC for the entire world to see.

I want Assads body used for bayonet practice, then I want it fed to hogs and the hog sh** fed to other hogs. Then I want those hogs slaughtered and the carcasses dropped from American B-52s into downtown Damascus during evening 'prayers'.

Did I mention I want Assad dead?

Just heard on FOX that Israel has told southern Beruit to evacuate. Gloves are coming OFF.

Precisely. Assad hides saying little to the international press that reflects his true acvtivies. If his successor is in the Hamas/Iran mode of frank talk with a little NK missle trigger finger added in, Damascus might become the satellite parking lot for the New Beirut Airport.

"Yea...snort...tourist industry.

There's big money is touring bombed out sh** holes.

Ok, then it's not just me. I read this from a few different sources and couldn't beleive that people would go to Beruit for tourism?? Just doesn't make any sense.

Bush Blames Syria, Iran as War Clouds Scud

The question is will Syria and Iran do something else real rash?

Nope. The time to do that is LONG passed.

Pack up Hizballah and give them to Israel, along with the troopers they kidnapped, and the Israelis will leave.

Send 'em to Syria, and Israel will, hopefully, lay Lebanon totally to waste.

Exactly. Did he really think his country could attack Israel and escape unharmed? Lebanon for all practical purposes, is economically out of commission and Hezbollah thought it had bargaining power. Its demonstrated it can abduct Israeli soldiers but it cannot protect the country's infrastructure from punishing Israeli blows. Now THAT is what I call a serious miscalculation on the terrorists' part!

(The Palestinian terrorist regime is the crisis and Israel's fist is the answer.)

There was a post elsewhere on FR today that mentioned that Iran had tens of thousands of "tourists" fly to Lebanon in the last month or two.

Some "tourism" destination, huh ? I think Iran sent over their travelling road show.

Man, I sure hope we don’t see Sadam’s WMDs pop up. An invasion would be ample justification on the Arab street for a counter WMD strike and using Hizbollah Hamas as proxies could give Syria and Iran international cover.

I hope this is not a setup but it is starting to smell like one.
