IAF strikes Beruit airport

Reports coming in about IAF striking Beruit airport, if this is confirmed this is another sizable escalation. I think this article ought to be pinned.

"Remember, this is DEBKA."

The US has already confirmed that Syria and Iran were behind the initial strikes that started this thing. After Israel flew fighter jets over the Syrian President's retreat, I'm sure Syria is trying to ready itself just in case.

They may have other designs for the future BUT they damn well know that Allah doesn't trump a Carrier Battle group.

Yep. In a nutshell. We can call that a blessing right now. :o)

I wonder how many of those Hizballah, Syrian supplied rockets, are stamped "Made in Russia"?

Thanks for that Israeli link.

We can only hope & pray the Hizballah-Syrian enemy can be quickly defeated, sparing the IDF and Israeli public from further losses.

Yeah something is up and I don't think any of us know yet. I think Israel has finally been let off or broke off the leash.

The enemy supporting our enemies - is our enemy. That would be KGB Putin.

China has is no sea or air lift to speak of

That's true, but, wasn't there a thread where china was going to build a deep water harbor?(whatever it's called) We've bought enough falderals from them to pay for it.

I just had a weird feeling you're right.

What's up? And that creep in Iran keeps saying that Israel is about to be removed from the map.

(Oh, I wish I'd sold some of my stocks yesterday) ...

Do we ever do joint exercises with Israel? I've never heard of it if we do.

Beleive me I have no illusions about China's future plans. I am sure they are dreaming of catching us in the arms race but they are so many generations behind us in technology that we would have to come to a complete stop for 20 years for them to catch up. That isn't likely unless we are stupid enough to elect the likes of Clinton or Kerry for the presidency. The sad fact is that when or if we go to war with China it will be over in days since, as you say, we cannot win a war of attrition with her.
