You know there are former Freepers who have made similar accusations about this site and lack of spending and financial documents.

Yeah, and Connie Hair is one of them.

Of course, she also told people that Jim had lost his mind and "somebody" needed to "take FR away from him."

Most of us guessed that she meant herself and her pals.

Nobody around here gives one damn what "former Freepers" say about this place.

And the one difference is that Jim Robinson has been more than forthcoming about his expenses and where the money goes.

Simcox has not.

Have you ever been in the military, tex?

Thats a hybrid design for a high value target in the military, like a SCIF or weapons storage area. Only they have armed guards too.

The US military uses fence designs like this as a routine on military bases.

People dont go into places that have that kind of fence.
That's the intention.

Looks like the same open-borders folks are still at it full bore.

Why don't you busy yourself find ANY post ANY of us have made that remotely suggests we advocate open borders?

We can all wait while you and your pals try to find some.

The border is not a military base. You can be shot for trespassing on a military base. You cannot be shot for crossing the border as much as you folks would like that.

The specs from the site say barbed wire, not razor wire, FYI.

I figured if I wasn't for sniper nests at the border I'd be called an OBL.

But I'm sick of them making that accusation when it's a damn lie.

Tells you the value of their argument though, doesn't it?

I beg to differ with you there.

Fort Huachuca is in the mountain range to the west of Naco along with Forest service property.

The illegals hike through and trash the mountains.

Illegals have shown up on Fort Huachuca at the base/post commanders' house asking for water.

Further west by about 60 miles from Huachuca is the Goldwater Training range.

Illegals have been spotted in the range bombing areas and training bombing runs have been cancelled because they were in the impact area of the range.

You know shouting Southern Poverty Legal Center all over the place is not going to make this go away.

Here's a few choice facts about the source of some of these slurs against Simcox, newbie:

The church of Morris Dees

Here's a gem about the FROBL's favorite source vis a vis Chris Simcox. The ironies of the FROBLs using Morris Dees as a source are too rich for words:

Front Page Magazine

But Dees and the SPLC are impervious to such facts. The pursuit of cash supersedes Dees’ fidelity to reality, as left-wing journalists have noted.

“Morris Dees doesn't need your financial support,” writes Ken Silverstein in “The Church of Morris Dees” (Harper’s, November 2000), observing that:

"The SPLC is already the wealthiest civil rights group in America…Back in 1978, when the Center had less than $10 million, Dees promised that his organization would quit fund-raising and live off interest as soon as its endowment hit $55 million. But as it approached that figure, the SPLC upped the bar to $100 million, a sum that, one 1989 newsletter promised, would allow the Center 'to cease the costly and often unreliable task of fund raising.' Today, the SPLC’s treasury bulges with $120 million, and it spends twice as much on fund-raising-$5.76 million last year-as it does on legal services for victims of civil rights abuses. The American Institute of Philanthropy gives the Center one of the worst ratings of any group it monitors, estimating that the SPLC could operate for 4.6 years without making another tax-exempt nickel from its investments or raising another tax-deductible cent from well-meaning 'people like you.'"

JoAnn Wypijewski has remarked in The Nation (February 26, 2001):

"What is the Southern Poverty Law Center doing…? Mostly making money…In 1999 it spent $2.4 million on litigation and $5.7' million on fundraising, meanwhile taking in more than $44 million--$27 million from fundraising, the rest from investments…On the subject of 'hate groups' …No one has been more assiduous in inflating the profile of such groups than the center's millionaire huckster, Morris Dees, who in 1999 began a begging letter, 'Dear Friend, The danger presented by the Klan is greater now than at any time in the past ten years.”…With…a salary close to $300,000 putting him among the top 2 percent of Americans, Dees needn't worry about 'fitting in' with the masses of Montgomery [SPLC headquarters]. Naturally, he'd erect a multimillion-dollar office building that's a monstrosity. 'I hate it,' a security guard across the street told me, as the sun's hot rays bounced off the building's vast brushed-stainless-steel-clad southern exposure and onto his face, making him sweat, roasting his skin while he stood watch for the militia nuts Dees would have his donors believe are lurking around every corner."

Keep up the great work, Mr. Dees. Don’t let truth and decency get in your way.

Sometimes I wonder if certain posters here aren't actually Morris Dees.

Note to FReepers who haven't bought into this slander campaign:

Folks like Tex would have you believe that organizations like the Minutemen are supposed to fight the hundreds of millions of dollars available to the SPLC and the ACLU with no ammo, no resupply, no resources of any kind. They want you to think that fundraising is "dirty", at least if a conservative engages in it. If it's the GOP or the K Street bandits, it's fine, but not grassroots organizations, no way!

EV I have posted exactly ONE link to SPLC and a dozen links from far right sources on this subject. You on the other hand have yet to post a single link to back up your assertions that Simcox is on the up and up. It is you that work from the liberal play book by accusing those that are on to you of the things that fit you like a glove.

So, do you agree with such judicial atrocities?

There are a lot of things I don't agree with that are realities nonetheless.

I think our government should have closed down the borders right after 9/11, but apparently the need for cheap labor trumps national security at the highest levels.

I agree in theory with the Minutemen, but I don't want to see someone undermining the good they've done in bringing attention to the issue by using it as a grifting operation.

What Simcox is proposing is the equivalent of a booby trap that when the first illegal is caught in the razor wire, him or his family will own the ranch that it was built on. You will never see one foot of the Simcox fence built and Simcox and associates will try to run with the money. ~~ TexasForever

Bold is my doing on quote above...

Late getting to the thread, haven't seen the video (dialup) yet. This Simcox fellow is mostly unknown to me (think I remember him wanting to set up a fence on one thread but the landowner didn't want his type of fence.

But any scum that sues a farmer for protecting his land with a fence ... deserves to be shot IMHO... it not like the land owner is picking up the illegals and throwing them into the fence... it is just a land owner wanting to own his land without being invaded. Something our government has neglected to do.

I have seen you go on and on and on with comments about defending yourself Texas... comments like "say it to my face" etc (not complaining here, I am exactly the same way)... but yet you seem to hate anyone else being able to protect themselves. Just my humble opinion...

Now don't get me wrong, if this Simcox fellow has defrauded people, I hope he gets his nads nailed to a wall out in the open. But as far as people NOT supporting getting something done on a wall for security (that the US government has ignored to the point of ruining America), that hurts. It is a slap in America's face too.. a face that has turned the other cheek too many times to recall and now the fists are to the midsection.

I am sure most posters on FR understand what that protestor is supporting with his Guevara reference... (and it was not a lone sign occurance in the illegal crowds)... It scares the poop out of me, and most other true Americans too.

I want that fence built now, and I don't want some lego-block fence built either. If we can sent a man to the moon, spend billions on some mars pictures, we can build a wall.. It ain't rocket science, just takes a backbone from our government and some spending pork cuts on bridges to nowhere in Alaska..

It is deadly force and illegal border crossing is not a crime that justifies deadly force. There is no rancher that will allow that fence to be built on his property and Simcox knows that. The legal liability is just too high not to mention that the Border Patrol or the National Guard will demolish the site.

So, what's your personal limit on how many criminal invaders, foreign nationals, are allowed to pour across our border before extreme force is called for?

Fifty million?

One hundred million?

A billion?

Six billion?

At what population do we become a third world cesspool?

At what population of foreign nationals from countries with no tradition of republican government is our political system going to collapse into complete socialism and then chaos?

Did Jim provide information to folks from another site or the press?

No. He provided answers on the forum and has links up front.

He did not provide it on demand, as you are asking of the MMDC folks. It took Jim a while, a couple of weeks, as I recall, and he was on his own timetable. It's his forum, he can call the shots.

You are demanding answers from Freepers for the MMDC which is patently unfair. And giving a hard time to folks who have to reasearch just like anyone else to get an answer.

What you want and what the law is are two different things and the Ranchers on the border are not about to put their ranches at risk because this nutcase wants to make a statement.

He provided it to the people on this site who were asking for that very information.

Simcox has NOT done that.

It took Jim a while, a couple of weeks, as I recall, and he was on his own timetable

Since you haven't been here quite two years, there is no way on earth you can speak about what Jim Robinson has or has not done since this forum open.

It's his forum, he can call the shots.

It sure is; but you can rest assured that if Jim said he needed 50,000,000 to build a fence, somebody around here would want to see the PICTURES OF IT after they sent their money in.
