We're not beating up on the Minutement; we're discussing whether or not Chris Simcox is running a scam; if you don't want to know whether he is honest or not,that says a lot about YOUR agenda, not ours.
You better check around. There are other forums which are way ahead of FR on demanding answers from Simcox about his fence and financial arrangements. Some are Minutemen themselves.
He could calm the controversy, but seems unwilling to do so.
He seems to think people are going to mortgage their homes to help him get $55 million for a fence that a former well-known FReeper said is "just a symbol, and symbols are important right now."

There is something really wrong when people feel the need to denigrate people who are asking questions about money.
I guess in your murky moral world, asking questions has to be classified as "insinuations."
Honest people have nothing to fear from questions.
How do you explain that?
It seems that you are in the minority here (as well you should be) in not caring about the ethics of the leader of such a critical movement.
I wouldn't be so free in admitting that a lack of financial transparency is something that doesn't concern you.

When I first came to this thread, I respected Simcox, and even though I had seen some negative things in passing, I was at the very worst neutral toward him.
Now...........mostly because of your nasty, dishonest behavior in his 'defense'.........I am highly doubtful that he is an honest man simply because you are his friend.
If that is what you hoped to accomplish here by your incessant false attacks on me and your stonewalling and name-calling of everyone who asked legitimate questions, congratulations.
I'm sure that there are many lurkers who share my view. You have damaged your cause here, EV. And you have done damage to your 'friend' in the process.
I pray that Simcox opens his books, and that what is revealed is honorable. As one who cares deeply about the illegal immigration problem, and as one who has had deep respect for the MM, it scares me to think that their leader is a con artist.
He is the only one who can prove his honesty. I hope he chooses to do so..........and soon.
And I hope you quit 'defending' him by attacking everyone who just wants answers. He doesn't need that right now. If he indeed is decent, he doesn't need your indecency directed at others parading as his defense.
