Oh by the way, since you dont like me talking about the Racist Council of Conservative Citizens and now how they are spilling the beans. Could you please clarify that relationship with the members of the CoCC and Simcox

(1)For instance why is Simcox appearing on what is basically the radio arm of the CoCC
That is the Politcal Cesspool show
(2) IS it not true leading Arkansas anti Semite and CoCC member Joe MCCutchen was a leading member of the minuteman and worked with Simcox till he broke over neo con involvement as he put it
(3) Was Joe MCCutchen in fact a pilot for the Minutemen

I mean since the CoCC is so horrible I can't quote from them I am just wondering why Simcox associated with one its leading members

"The Minutemen also have built nearly 10 miles of border fence that's styled after Israel's Gaza Strip fence, with four layers of razor wire and fences, he said. The group has hired a contractor to help because it's having trouble recruiting volunteers during the extreme June heat." (The Daily Courier - June 19).

And nary a picture to be seen of that 10 miles of fencing? Darn.

With that razor wire trap in the dug out pits there is not a rancher alive that will risk his ranch when some illegal gets tangled up in it in the dark. It would cause an international incident. Crossing the border is not a capital crime as much as many on FR would like it to be.

I'm off this pathetic thread.

What will we EVER do without your "spirited" participation? LOL

Are they expecting the illegals to get to that fence and die laughing?

They are now touting the new talking point. "The fence is symbolic".

You know, the Minutemen were doing just fine until this fence deal came along; do I even need to ask whose idea this was?

Yes it was Simcox, he was widely quoted as telling Bush if he didn't build a wall he would. That was the beginning.

Depends of course, if it is an American crossing the border to Mexico, then they hold you for hostage and exhort as much money as they can.. Ask our local police officers that know this first hand... They still have his new $30,000 truck... plus $4,000 in BS fines after waving them through the border to "go ahead".. They didn't get the 50,000 they wanted since some local democrat pulled some strings with his buddies.

I do recall the fence idea was mentioned by Simcox in April of this year.

By the way as I awaiting clarification on Simcox's involvement with the CoCC and Joe McCutchen while I was googling I found this

Minuteman Field Reports - TEAM AMERICA PAC HOME | OUR MISSION ...Joe McCutchen called in last night about 6 : 30 and told me everything that was going on . Jim Gilchrist and Chris Simcox going to Washington , DC with Jim ...
www.teamamericapac.org/ ta-tapr-050407-mm-fieldreports01.shtml - 70k - Supplemental

However when I go to tancredo pac to see this I get this
"The page or file that you just requested http://www.teamamericapac.org/ta-tapr-050407-mm-fieldreports01.shtml has either been moved or it never existed in the first place."

Hmm interesting how things no longer exist

According to the U.S. Department of State's travel page, Americans do not have to have a visa or a tourist card for stays of 72 hours or less within the border zone. That is an area between 20 to 30 kilometers of the border. Citizens traveling as tourists beyond the border zone or entering Mexico by air must pay a fee to obtain a tourist card, also known as an FM-T. Those are available from Mexican consulates, Mexican border crossing points, Mexican tourism offices, airports within the border zone and most airlines serving Mexico.

With the exception of travel to the Baja Peninsula, tourists who travel beyond the border zone with their car must obtain a temporary import permit or risk having their car confiscated by Mexican customs officials.

Smith said he has better advice for potential tourists.

"I don't recommend going to border towns," Smith said. "I don't recommend crossing the border at all. I'll never go back again."

Sounds like the guy didn't bother to check Mexican visa law too closely

LOL that is quite a talking point. Somehow I don't recall Simcox asking people to build a symolic fence. Plus now 55 million dollars seems like a lot for a symbol. Of course that is true in reality. This fence was never going to be built it was a "symbol" that drove all bucks for the mailing list, the give us 10 dollrs to fax 3 senators scams, etc, etc

I have a very strange question.

Where did all the hysteria about immigration come from? The discussion's been here for awhile, but how did it get whipped up into such a frenzy? It almost came out of nowhere.

I would say it was in response to the demonstrations...but they came AFTER.

I want to know who was stirring the pot and why.

I can tell you exactly what is behind this. It is the radical population contrrol and Radical enviromential groups that are backed by Tanton. Tanton has several groups FAIR CIS Numbers etc. You see that is why they are against any guest worker program or pathway to citizenship. This debate has little to do with illegal immigration. Tanton ans his groups want to stop almost all immigration. They believe that the population should be 150 million people. THey are more radical than al gore. But they are driving this. I have researched this for months. Again the real issue here is not illegals that is driving this. I got a ton of links. After several decades they have managed to get into the conservative movement. THey are doing the same thing on the left. THey are trying to take over leftist enviromential groups
go to my blog
www.theponderingamerican.blogspot.com and look over my entries over the past month I detail it.

Or start here
http://chriscannon.com/Issues/Immigration/anti-immigration_groups.html

Cannon did not write that anyway. This is a extreme paleo conservative fringe movement. I have been trying to raise the alarm bells for months

The walls street JOurnal summed it up nicely
"So determined is conservatism’s nativist wing that it’s even made common cause with radical environmentalists and zero-population-growth fanatics on the leftist fringe. The Federation for American Immigration Reform and the Center for Immigration Studies may strike right-wing poses in the press, but both groups support big government, mock federalism, deride free markets and push a cultural agenda abhorrent to any self-respecting social conservative"

WEll I have been doing some research on 501c4 requirements and man it is taylor made for this type of scam. The donations are NOT tax deductable BUT the 501c4 is almost completly tax exempt for that money. This link shows the comparisons of diferent 501c organizations and it is amazing how little accounatbility is required
