Americans are donating thousands of dollars to support Minutemen patrolling the border. But you may be surprised where your money is NOT going in this 4-month investigation.

Yes, the people who are asking the questions do have an agenda.
Most of us are not political professionals. We are the grassroots. And we WILL NOT allow the conservative cause to be set back by those who for whom progress is not good enough, those for whom the battle is more important than the results and those for whom "selling out" means having to listen and accommodate fellow Americans.
In addition, I personally will not stand by and watch while people mortgage their homes to contribute to an organization which has anything less than completely transparent booksall in the name of the conservative hysteria du jour. To let that stand without comment would be damned irresponsible.
If Simcox organization's books are opened, and his advertised results are achieved or even begun, I will be satisfied. Until then, I think people like EV are here to provide distraction, to intimidate and to protect personal financial interests.
His behavior here has been neither conservative nor moral.

Hear! Hear!!
We just want answers. We are no lynch mob.
We simply want the transparency that we expect from those who collect money for a conservative cause.
It wouldn't be that difficult to 'appease' us. Just open the books.
Those who oppose and stonewall fundamental honesty are the ones who are suspect, IMO.

I can't seem to get an answer to the tax exempt status of the Minutemen and the Minuteman Defense Council.
And Simcox, who hasn't accounted for a single dime of the original money, now wants to grift $55 million from a demographic that couldn't raise that kind of money if they sold everything they have.

Forget your tax exempt question.
I've been asking all day long one question: do Simcox and Keyes share a post office box.
Zippo. Nada. Zilch.
Struck mute, I guess.

Yes, I agree.
But don't you think someone who is willing to take that kind of money based on a certain string of promises has a moral obligation to not only deliver results, but to run the organization with complete financial transparency?
To: JeanS
He borrowed 150k and gave it to them at the ground breaking of the cattle fence in April.

Anyone idiotic enough to morgage their house for the Minuteman Project deserves to lose it. Sheesh. So you require no accountability from Simcox because the donors are 'idiotic?'

Perhaps you can answer a couple of questions for me. I know you've gone to bed, and I intend to do the same once I've posted this, but I'll look for your answers in the morning:
Is this thread the future of FR? Are the people posting here against Simcox going to be running the show? I ask because they seem to be impervious to the rules, as posted.
Is an ABC hitpiece, way short on facts, now an acceptable source?
Is the SPLC now an acceptable source?
Is the Clown Posse now an acceptable source?
Is the CoCC now an acceptable source?
Is FR now a platform for opposition research on conservative activists, and a place that lies, insinuations about and personal attacks on FReepers and conservative leaders stand unchallenged?
Is FR now a platform for Clintonian smear campaigns designed to take down conservative leaders?
Why would a Fourth of July piece by Alan Keyes, trolled by the same crowd that is trolling this thread, be pulled and declared a "flame war" after barely thirty posts, and then when restored go directly to the Smoky Backroom, while this thread...the worst example of yellow journalism I've ever seen on FR...last almost 2000 posts and still be in "News and Activism"?
Why would a thread about Rove speaking at La Raza be banished, yet this flame-fest, rife with CP filth, survive?
This is mystifying to me, so I'd appreciate whatever answers you can give me.

I've been asking all day long one question: do Simcox and Keyes share a post office box.Wanna bet that all the correspondence for Keyes, Simcox, and American Caging end up in the same PO Box.

I don't think that's really what Jean meant.....
To: ohioWfan
I had that exact same thought, ohio. This thread is certainly educational.

I'm trying to find out what Jean really did mean by that comment.
And what it has to do with asking for financial transparency from Simcox.

Well I am curios if everything is not going to be under this Decalaration alliance thing which I guess must have some sort of status. I have to make some sort of lfow chart to keep up with all this. I mean the money has been spent. Its been spent on consultants, direct mail, caging organizations, middlemen, to promote this fence. The problem is that its all the same people.
To: Howlin
Better save this thread if you want it as it's about to assume room temperature.
