Here's the guy I've been telling you about...his Mrs. needs a prayer ping.
Prayers
Prayers for Mrs. and family Bump
Prayers forthcoming!
Logan's Prayer Warriors...we have someone in need of prayer!!!
Thank you, paulat, for contacting me...thank you FRer's for praying, and THANK YOU LORD for answering our prayers!
You've been our help in ages past;
Our hope for years to come.
Be Thou our guide while life shall last,
And our eternal home.
Before the hills in order stood,
Or earth received her frame.
From everlasting Thou art G-d.
Through endless years the same.
A thousand ages in Thy sight
Are like an evening gone.
Sure as the watch fire ends the night
Before the rising sun.
You who know our beginning from our end and all that occurs between, watch over our brother with your everlasting tenderness, and bring him and the Mrs. through this trial with triumph and a newfound praise for You. In Jesus Name...Amen
Psalm 32:7 "You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance."
I lift them up in prayer. Life has so many challenges - and to lose a parent is always so hard. Please let your wife know that we are praying for you and for her, and God is still the God who loves and created you all...
Our prayers are sent!

Prayers sent :-)
I look forward to an update. I don't know where this man and his family are moving from, but I can say when I moved down here from the NW it was a major, major culture shock. Blessings to all of the family.
God be with you all in times of trial.
All, thanks so much for this. As a little background, my father in law passed last Thursday, on his 62nd birthday, after a long illness. Enphysema (sp?) had long ago left him with highly diminished lung capacity...just before Memorial Day it turned into full-blown pneumonia. About a week prior to his passing, doctors had informed the family that they had done all they could to save his lungs, and they expected a collapse at any moment. At that point the decision was made to transfer him to a nursing facility...due to space constraints at the facility chosen, he was sent home, to wait until a bed was made available.
On June 29th, his children (my Mrs, her sister, and 2 half-brothers,) congregated at the house to wish him a Happy Birthday. While they were doing so, he complained of being uncomfortable, then started to choke. My Mrs jumped into action to provide CPR...he passed while she was providing CPR, efforts by paramedics to revive him were fruitless. He leaves behind a lot of folks who love him.
Now for the "Movie of the Week" part...his widow (Mrs' stepmother) has very advanced MS and is left with two 6-year old children in the house. In the meantime, my Mrs had a biopsy of a small lump inside her neck, the results were inconclusive, but appear to be related to a very rare form of cancer. No word yet on whether or not it's malignant...we're trying to get her into surgery as early as next week. By the way, we're in the process of moving...all this precludes the Mrs from being able to attend her father's funeral, which will be this Saturday in Michigan.
Thanks for the concern, everyone (especially paulat.) As more develops, I will do my best to keep all in the loop.
Prayers up!! *HUGS!* And I am sorry for the loss of your father-in-law!
