0.90% margin

7.17% of votes remain

Magic number - 12.56%

Slight inroads, on pace for a Calderon squeaker...

Supposedly a total recount is illegal by Mexican law under the circumstances. The rest might be explained in post #226.

now .90% with 92.83 -- the "magic #" is starting to drop, but ever so slowly. But the low %s that are in, especially in Baja, Nuevo Leon and Sonora are very encouraging, because those are BIG states, with BIG Calderon margins.

There wasn't a first close count - the first count was a preliminary count. Today, they are confirming the tally sheets and recounting the votes in places where the tally sheets show errors. There has been no complete recount of the votes. It is not allowed under Mexican law, according to the articles that have been posted here.

this is very good news. all of the states that are the slowest are strong pan

That is great news. We have to remember that in Mexico, the "good guys" bribe as well or better than the "bad guys", unlike here in the US. :)

0.88% margin

6.90% of votes remain

Magic number - 12.76%

Now the trend is to an Obrador squeaker, but could change anytime...

I watched a News Person in Mexico City and she says the last to be counted will be coming from the north which will go for Calderon totally. She said the preliminary count on Monday will hold and Calderon will WIN. And said in the wee hours of the AM winner will be announced.

That doesn't surprise me - PAN has been predicting this, claiming the PRD was deliberately delaying vote tallying in the north.

93.2% in now, lead down to .86%

Back down somewhat, but will it be enough? We need a real downward trend...it's truly Too Close to Call.
