Could they have been launched to try to throw off our guys before the main event? The thought crossed my mind as well Our guys and girls are not going to be thrown off.

I just don't know why but I can't get worked up about this. I would like to say to Kim il jong, "I laugh in your face." I trust that we do have the capabilities to knock them out of the air and though the media has tried to frighten us, the reality is that he could
maybe hit Alaska if he was lucky. As it is, this one fizzled in 40 seconds.
They also always bring up S. Korea but we also have our defenses there and in Japan. It isn't good but it isn't anything I'm losing sleep over.
In the meantime, I'm having a great 4th of July.

You'd have thought if he was on deck for this next hour they could have gotten him on a bit earlier to have someone more capable of dealing with a news event instead of the normal 'chit chat' she covers........ :-S

Who would have thought that the American public would become tired of the WOT this quickly and this easily? My husband predicted a couple days after 9/11 that the Dems would start jumping ship within a week.

We also flipped to CNN and we NEVER watch CNN. FoxNews is really bad on holidays and weekends.

ROFLOL! I love that idea! Thank him for acknowledging the fireworks salute. The nutcase would probably have a heart attack. Great Idea!

Yes, I know quite well. I have met Wendy Sherman. I know her whole pitch. What she says does not impact these fast moving stories. We'd best just to ignore her and her pablum.

Can you imagine where CNN would be without FR to tell them about the missile launches? </sarc>
(I'm not a big fan of CNN, but let's be honest...frontline news-gathering is important, and we don't have the assets in place to do that yet.)

I saw on one of the posts here that one landed near Russia terrritory. They control a couple of the islands near Japan. I believe Russia controls the Kuril Islands and Sakhalin Island.

Yes. One came off the coast of Wakkanai, in HOKKAIDO. The other off the coast of Niigata, in northwest Japan.
The first trajectory shows it on an extremely northboad trajectory. I would say that this is definitely the test track for a delivery to the United States, judging from where it came down off Wakkanai. Anyone can find this on a map.
