I would suspect that a Japanese AEGIS got it and brought it down. This is why they launched a second one 15 minutes later.

Or, one of our US military ABM systems brought it down.

Either way, a Taepodong -2 only going that distance is a clear failure. It will be fun to see what eventually happened to it, and second of all, how North Korea makes no announcement of the launch. The more we watch Pyongyang media and hear nothing, the more we conclude it was a failure (it least in this initial information gathering stage).

I respect Pat Boone's political commentary, but this needs to be a breaking news story on the missle launches.

Well, have they acknowledged it in the Fox Alert ticker? When it comes right down to it, what more do we need than that right now? What possible value could the anchorettes add?

"CNN is saying the longer range missile has been fired but "broke up" after launch."

If true, it will be interesting to see what the little idiot tells the state run news to tell the NK people.

Functional Testing and Validation and Verification may take on new meanings during wartime. Why test it in a static test bed when you can do a real-world test, with all of the contractor geeks there to make it work right?

I'd rather Fox wait until they get independant confirmation of such a breaking story before declaring it as fact like the other orgs do. No?

Everyone at Fox News is at home eating barbeque. They should always have an anchor on standby.
