The quarterfinal round concludes with a pair of enticing match-ups. The day's first match pits England against Portugal (10:30 a.m. ET, ABC) in Gelsenkirchen, while a rematch of the 1998 final between Brazil and France (3:00 p.m. ET, ESPN) will wrap the Round of 8.

I love the Brazilian line up.
Ronaldinho on top. Juninho in.
This is looking good finally.

Musberger: What is soccer?
Balboa: Captain Obvious - pointing out what we already know.
OBrien: Talks about everything except soccer (never seen a match until 6 months ago).
Lalas: Pretty hairdo. More powder please.
Wynalda: Arrogant, occassional hint of soccer knowledge
Foudy: No comment.
Only in America would we put a bunch of amateur announcers and soccer know-nothings on the world's biggest sporting event.

Brent Hamburger is an IDIOT!

I haven't heard Harkes or Dellacamera this year, so I can't comment
To: You Dirty Rats
You can tell when Musberger talks about soccer, he's very unsure and uncomfortable. He will talk very quick and then change the subject or pass to another announcer.
Like he's sweating bullets talking about soccer!

Sadly, I am very much amused by the name generator. I had to cheat a bit, but the best one I came up with was Millaldo da Costa.
To: Cyclopean Squid
I think Millaldo da Costa should be on the right wing, whilst Frildo should play on the left :-)

Is #0 a valid choice in soccer?

I'd play goalie but Lainundo has to be relegated to the kitchen, I suspect..

After 4 minutes, I cannot rate his performance. Brazil is always good for a goal. Now we´ll see a corner for them.

Balboa is a disappointment no doubt. I like Wynalda. At first I was shocked at how sarcastic a California dude could be, but after a while he kinda grows on you. I much prefer someone with a point of view than the watered down generic opinion. Besides, he's been on the big stage.
John Harkes has been the best overall of the US announcers. Solid.
Lalas: Offbeat and somewhat odd at times. Not the depth one expects.
Foudy: Sorry a world champion gets latitude. She's solid.

I was thinking that, but given my light knowledge of this sport, I was keeping my mouth shut.

Wynalda must have lost a huge sum of money betting on England.
His comments were so over the top as to be incredible.
