GAZA, June 29 (Reuters) - A spokesman for gunmen in the Gaza Strip said they had fired a rocket tipped with a chemical warhead at Israel early on Thursday.

The Israeli army had no immediate comment on the claim by the spokesman from the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, an armed wing of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah movement.

Israel could level the Gaza Strip using conventional gravity bombs in its inventory. No need for nukes. It would be insane to use a nuclear weapon in Gaza. Potentially self-harming, politically stupid, and most of all unnecessary.

However, the thought is kind of encouraging.

If the Palis really do fire a serious chemical warhead, and it kills a bunch of people and can be shown to be gas, then all bets in the middle east are off.

Of course, I'm quite immoderate on this issue - use WMD and cease to exist. Separate the men and boys from the women and children, transport the women and children to the antipodes and go to war on the men. No quarter fro those who do not unconditionally surrender. No more "Palestinian" problem.
