Limbaugh Detained At Airport Image

Joy Purdy Reporting

(CBS4 News) WEST PALM BEACH Sources have confirmed to CBS4 News that conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh has been detained at Palm Beach International Airport for the possible possession of illegal prescription drugs Monday evening.

Limbaugh was returning on a flight from the Dominican Republic when officials found the drugs, among them Viagra.

Limbaugh entered a plea deal back in April in a previous case where his charge of fraud to conceal information to obtain prescriptions was dropped under the condition he continue undergoing treatment for addiction.

Limbaugh had admitted to being addicted to pain killers on his radio program and had entered a rehabilitation program prior to that arrest.

I'll bet the people who run that airport are just thrilled that rich people won't want to land there anymore for fear of having their secrets blabbed to the press.

Have you ever been to the PB airport?

The statment says "had no illegal drugs or prescription drug obtained illegally in his possesion."

Therefore, he IS NOT in trouble. Much to your disappointment.

UNDOCUMENTED MEDICATIONS?

haha! good one! apparently legal drugs that are sold for 8 bucks a pill at sam's are enough to stop you in palm beach.

geez. can you imagine if everyone entering the palm beach airport and carrying viagra were stopped?

no one over 40 would get through.

UPDATE: Rush Limbaugh 'had no illegal drugs or prescription drug obtained illegally in his possession,' source says, contrary to a claim by CBS-TV in Miami... MORE..

Now I want to know why Rush had his private business made public? Who will be charged with smearing Mr. Limbaugh? Who made this public and why?

Well, no, although I'd been to the WPB airport years ago. I don't do the private plane thing.

They're not dating. The kiss was all in good fun. Mary Lynn knows Rush from previous "24" events. She was in his studio earlier this year when he was interviewing Surnow and Gordon.

Good,....we need to get more "grown-ups" in the reporting field...so we can get the "correct" story, the first time.

Or, better yet...no story, since that is what this is, a non-story.

I pick them up for my wife and mother-in-law.

The pharmacy had better hope they have your records on file. Or they will be paying a fine if they are caught.

the general penalty for failure to comply is:

* Each violation: $100
* Maximum penalty for all violations of an identical requirement: may not exceed $25,000

Wrongful Disclosure of Individually Identifiable Health Information:

* Wrongful disclosure offense: $50,000, imprisonment of not more than one year or both
* Offense under false pretenses: $100,000, imprisonment or not more than 5 years, or both
* Offense with intent to sell information: $250,000, imprisonment of not more than 10 years, or both

The HIPPA law also requires a patient to submit proof of who you are to pick up a prescription. Not even a family member can pick up a prescription for another family member without the written permission of the other family member

That's funny, I've picked up dozens of scrips in the past year for my gf. Some I had to sign for(narcotic type..ambien etc), the rest, just pay and go.

Like any of those places catering to the rich, famous, and over-privileged, the numbers of journalists are well known.

It most certainly is [FRAUD] if it was for a PRESCRIPTION DRUG.

Well then, would you kindly cite the law that makes it most certainly so?

Obviously albaby was trying to perpetrate a fraud.

It's a good thing thing that FR has such keen eyed members to ferret out the quality, nearly undectectable photoshop jobs.

I still can't tell if this one is a fake or not.

Same here. I've picked up dozens for my wife and daughter and my wife has picked up dozens for me.

It's almost as if someone was just waiting for this to happen. I can't help it; I'm upset. I love Rush Limbaugh like a brother.

I feel the same way. But take comfort that this is yet another attempt by the enemedia for their idea of, "Balance:

Rush Limbaugh BUSTED!!!
Muslim gunman murders one in Colorado

Get the picture?
