Y s w!
I think I will add Mt Rushmore to our list of places to visit. Need to do Hawaii first, tho.
We have been to Yellowstone 3 times.
About 7 years ago, a friend and I took two weeks (I think) days and did some sightseeing of some of the west that we had not seen.
We drove thru Vegas and then north into Utah. We saw Zion Natl Park and Bryce Canyon. We then headed for Colorado and Pike's Peak. While in the Colorado Springs area, we toured the Air Force Academy.
When we left Colorado Springs, we drove thru Nebraska to South Dakota. WE visited Mt Rushmore and the BAdlands. Then headed west to Wyoming where we spent a day and a half in Yellowstone.
After leaving Yellowstone we drove to Pocatella and met a friend of 35 years. She was not well but she met us for dinner and a wonderful evening of getting reaquainted.
A great memory.
Then home thru Nevada. It was a lot of driving and we were tired when we got back to FResno but the trip was memorable.
Yeah .... I think I could do Mount Rushmore again.
More info than you asked for? :)
It is sad what they are doing to our schools and our country.
When will we say enough is enough?
Absolutely! PrissyMissy has been wanting to go to Hawaii for years. LOL.
I never will forget her looking out the window and saying, as we were landing in Ohio, "where's the water? Aren't we in Hawaii?". I guess to a little kid OHIO could sound a bit like HAWAII. Poor little thing, she was so disappointed. As wonderful as Ohio was, it couldn't compare to Hawaii.
Lately any day is tough getting to the forum and posting and responding to replies, I do read them. You can be assured I will always be here to post coffee and the Daily Bread even if and when elected to Assembly, or senate, or governor or what ever seat I finally get elected to, or not.
One thing is for sure, I will never stop getting in the faces of the politicians that are ruining this once great state of New York. After all Ronald Reagan did win this state twice.
God Bless you all, and God Bless the USA!
God Bless you, Rus. Thanks for always being here.
Thanks Amy.. I feel posting the Daily Bread is one of the most important things I do everyday..
Hey Cuz.. My Gram in Mass is now 99.5 years old and is in her last days we fear.
She is losing her sight, hearing and her ability to get up out of bed.
She has asked to see the men in the family.. I will be making the trip soon.
Our fear is that she will go soon after we are all there.
My father called me the other day. We will be going July 4th weekend if not sooner.
Just wanted to let you know.
The Daily Bread post brightens the day and gets us started on the right foot. .
Mine too. I am sure to read it everyday when I post it.
I know how difficult it is when a beloved family member's passing is imminent. I will keep you and your Gram in my prayers, ((((((((((Rus)))))))))).
May the Master Jesus prosper you in this endeavor and may His Glory be your great reward, amen. Thank you for your words of reminder and explanation. When you're not here you are missed.
You are so right about that. Thank you for the ping.
I so appreciate your post and pic! Thank you for pinging me! I salute our strong, well-trained, disciplined and valiant men and women of America's armed forces with you. God be in them and surround them with His hedge of angels.
Why don't you? I'd buy it!
Thanks! :o)
I did...
