Ann will be on in a few minutes. We hope that the group of FReepers were able to make the audience and cheer on Ann.
Wow! Jay was on fire for his monologue!
It also sounds like a good piece of the audience got in line (or scalped tickets) when they found out Ann was going to be on. Jay seemed a little surprised and even acknowledged "the new right-wing cheering section".
This will be good.
Whiskey and doritos here :-)
Carlin used to be sort of funny 30 years ago, but his politics went to the far left and his act got old to the point where he is a colossal bore.
I'll wager he struts his best stuff tonight, whatever that is.
I wonder what Ann is wearing. She always looks so nice.
Alright! That's right... I forgot Leno's show is taped. 5:30pm like Letterman's?
lol, yah! "Wonderful WINO!"
WOO-HOO! They got in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for th info!
HAR!
In those days, Carlin used to sub for Johnny on The Tonight Show.
Jay is a Democrat but he seems to be a genuinely decent guy. I can't say the same for Letterman, who has just gotten creepier and creepier in his old age.
It definitely sounds like that is the case. I bet a lot of the crowd was as surprised as Jay. The knee-jerk, go-along rabble in the crowd is probably already wondering what's going on.
Yeah, they say Ann's mean. I'd love to see a listing of Carlin quotes. Talk about obnoxious.
It is so hard to get Letterman tickets. Either you know someone at CBS or wait for months.
Buncha lucky dogs! Grrrrrr - waiting for the report!
Yep, he was one of Johnny's subs.
The doritos will make you want to drink more....just like the popcorn....gulp!
If Carlin gives her any crap, I hope she brings up how he called First Lady Barbara Bush, "The Silver D*****?"
They did get in!
Doug from Upland and Ron Dog for sure!
Amd YES, Ann just released her book last week, BUT someone on the show noticed this coincidence, and smelled a ratings coup. I believe Carlin was definitely booked, then after the controversy, Coulter was booked for the same night.
Why? Carlin is a rabid, passionate Anti-Christian bigot whose rants border on the verge of hate. Ann is defending religion in her book. Add the two together and you have the makings of Good TV.
Ann needs to be her usual witty self, but I hope she had Dennis Miller (unlikely, since he is pretty much agnostic) or some comedy writer to provide some knee-slappers. Carlin doesn't have to even make sense, just be funny, and he could appear on top. But I am hoping he exposes himsself as the bitter, unhappy used douche he is in reality.
WOO-HOO is right! I don't know RonDog very well, but I'm not surprised at all that DFU got in... LOL.
