I'm guessing (a) once she learned about a same show appearance with the old hippy she'd honor him with an obscure reference to the glory days of liberalism -OR- (b) once she learned about a same show appearance with one of the fiercest and most effective enemies of liberalism she decided to try her feeble best to offend our heroine with an obscure reference to the glory days of liberalism.
