LEXINGTON, Massachusetts, June 14, 2006 (LifeSiteNews.com) - On May 17the two-year anniversary of same-sex "marriage" in Massachusettsthe first-grade son of a prominent pro-family advocate was dragged and beaten behind the Estabrook Elementary School in Lexington during recess, receiving multiple blows to the chest, stomach, and genital area.
Jacob Parker, the 7-year-old who was attacked, is the son of David Parker. LifeSiteNews.com readers will recall that David Parker objected to homosexual curriculum in his son's kindergarten class. At a meeting with the principal of the school last year Parker requested that the school inform him of when homosexual discussions would take place, so he could exclude his son from the activity. The principal refused and Parker said he would not leave until his request was granted. School administration called the police and had Parker charged with trespassing. (see coverage: http://www.lifesite.net/ldn/2005/apr/05042910.html)
The school system has since continued to refuse to notify parents of such material being presented in class. On April 27, 2006, Parker, his wife, and another family filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against the school system.
According to Mr. Parker, school authorities determined from an investigation into the assault that the beating was indeed planned and premeditated.
Mr. Parker described the incident at the school saying:
"During the recess period, a group of 8-10 kids suddenly surrounded Jacob and grabbed him. He was taken around the corner of the school building out of sight of the patrolling aides, with the taunting and encouragement of other kids. Jacob was then positioned against the wall for what appeared to be a well planned and coordinated assault.
According to Parker, his son related that one student in particular performed the actual physical assault while, many children stood, watched silently, and did nothing as the beating commenced.
"The group of kids surrounded Jacob and he was beaten and punched. Then, as he fell to the ground, another child was heard saying to the group of children, 'Now you all can finish him off,' and as he was down on his hands and knees, the beating continued on his back. Then, fortunately, one little girl ran to contact the oblivious playground aides to stop it.
"Four of the attackers were from Jacob's first-grade class; the others were from other classes at Estabrook.
"The teachers' aide apparently determined that since she could not see external bleeding, and since Jacob apparently was not hit in the face, she did not send him to she school nurse." The family was immediately notified of the incident.
Speaking to LifeSiteNews, Parker speculated that the cause of the attack is most likely what he called displaced aggression. If children hear venomous things from their parents, the children do internalize this, he said.
I certainly dont want to vilify the children in this, he said. We understand that skirmishes happen on the playground. Its taking the child around out of view of the aides, and the number of children that stood around watching that concerns us.
Parker noted that his conflict with the school over homosexuality is well known among the students. "We are aware that the school administration sent notices home with all the young children concerning the Parker arrest, the 'King and King' incident and the federal lawsuit," he said. They must know that the children read them.
He pointed out that the date of the attack--the two year aniversary of same-sex "marriage" in Massachusetts--cannot be a coincidence.
The topic of Parker's beliefs has become so widespread among the students that Jacob says he overheard his fellow classmates ruminating that perhaps their current principlewho has resigned her position to take up a job elsewherewas leaving the job because of Jacobs father. Members of the community itself have organized public demonstrations specifically against Parker, in which their children have taken part. One of these demonstrations is pictured on the right. While prominently displayed in the student library are the back issues of the Lexington Minuteman that specifically deal with Parkers case, for the children to read.
Were trying to be patient and tolerant," said Parker when asked if he was considering pulling his son out of the school. "Were trying to hang on to the notion that the schools are for every child and for everyone. I dont feel that we should have to leave for an injustice.
But he added that There are limits to how much patience we can have. I certainly understand why more and more parents are pulling their children out of public schools.
Ironically, the school prides itself on its long-time involvement in various "Safe School" programs, which are geared to creating school environments "safe" for students who are homosexual.
Parker asked, "Isn't the school supposed to be addressing safety and preventing bullying and violence? Or are such programs only focused on children with homosexual parents? You can be certain that if this happened to a child with homosexual parents more would be made of this and that 'lessons' teaching tolerance and diversity of homosexual behavior normalization would be forced upon the young children."
The school and larger community are deeply divided over the Parker's stand against pro-homosexual indoctrination. A group has been formed in Lexington to counter Parker's efforts. The 'Lexington Cares' group maintains an anti-Parker website and has conducted anti-Parker letter writing campaigns and demonstrations.

And if you were "Jacob" would you want to go back to that school the next day? Remember he is only a first grader. Those parents need to either home school or find a private school that doesn't cater to the gay agenda. In the meantime, the Parkers should sue and call this what it is A HATE CRIME. Their best bet is to go on Bill O'Reilly to get some publicity and the public on their side.
In fact, this is my new tagline. Thank Ann for establishing it.
This coed soccer thing irritates me too. When I was a kid, boys played football, baseball and basketball, girls did cheerleading, ballet and gymnastics -- now boys and girls play soccer together and they're taught that they are equal. It's no wonder that they have sexual identity problems when the become teenagers.
I doubt they beat up the kid for the reason stated.
However, I don't doubt that the kid was beat up at school.
We are pulling our daughters from public school because of how poorly the kids behave, and how little the administration does to curb bad behavior.
Right. Gang-beating a small child gets a pass; but pointing your finger like a gun and saying "Bang bang" gets a first-grader suspended for 10 days. Zero tolerance my ass!
What about private school??
NO! What he needs to do ,is to hire top attorney and go after parents and school.
I would get my kid out of that school NOW. With the administration aiding and abetting the homosexual agenda, and the students already succeeding in beating this poor little kid, and the officials' behavior afterwards, I can't imagine how he is safe there.
As for the administration ...
I think the chance of several first graders beating someone up is very low. This sounds bogus to me. At least, I hope it is.
Isn't this a hate crime?
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
Down on the Animal Farm some hate crimes live in the farmer's house. Jacob Parker will get to sleep in the barn.
My kids went to a new school this past year. The district closed their old school, and we have been in public school h*** since.
I've had to coach my girls how to stay out of trouble.
There have been lots of fights and kids beat up at the school. The school could not find enough people to hire to supervise the kids. I think they had about 8 playground supervisors, and they have nearly 900 kids.
My daughters are not going back to that school. I hate it!!!!!!!! My daughters only finished this year because they got the teacher that one of them had the year before, and she is wonderful.
If anything physical had happened to my daughters, I would have been sueing the district so fast. Of course, I think we're sueing the district anyway. One of my daughters is special needs, and we're going to sue the district to pay for her private education. We've already talked to a lawyer, and we should win!!
Butt coden't git it paast U...
Believe it or not, I know a lot of people who idealize the liberal mythos of the "all inclusive culture of tolerance" and think a place like Boston (and the surrounding suburbs) is the ideal spot to raise kids. All those good, progressive, nurturing intellectuals who don't like guns and don't like war, don't you know? My inlaws are perfect examples. Two ex-hippies who still form their world view through ideas and wishes, rather than facts and logic. They've lived in the same area for the past 20 years, and now drug dealers have moved in next door--and they STILL blame all of the problems in Boston on those "evil Republicans".
My wonderful Conservative husband is the black sheep of their family (in fact, he's closer to my three brothers than he is to his own) and his parents chastise him for 1) making more money in one year than they have amassed in a life time and 2) living in a gaited community. I'm the evil southern redneck harpy who seduced him over to the dark side, like a short, blonde Darth Vader (although he was already a staunch Pub when I met him.)
We live in Central Florida--in a great little conservative area just north of Orlando. Still, to my lib pals still up in Boston, they're horrified at the idea of rednecks and conservative christians having as much say as the freaks do in Boston. It's better to live among post op-trannies and socialists than traditional families or... gasp... people who own guns.
Nothing but mushheads and lemmings up there.
We had coed PE one year.I had a sadistic streak in me back then,I didn't cut them any slack.I played like I was out for blood.I guess that would make me a brute nowadays.I took my licks, too, especially in dodgeball.Took alot of headshots, lots of fights followed. The PE teacher sure enjoyed him self watching his little"bloodsport".
Agree but I sure felt better.
Heterosexuals should flee is your response. Do that and they will hunt you down wherever you go. He is taking a stand. He should be helped by those who are like-minded and disgusted by the grooming of these little brown-shirts.
Can you sue a school? Your kid is there, under their 'protection' and they were lax. If you were that lax, in your own home, the authorities would sure step in!! And what about those playground aides? They don't know that this sort of thing was going on?
I'd sure make a BIG ruckus about this!!
It must be positively gratifying to have your opponents so on the ropes that they "form" a group to combat your telling of the truth.
I know Fred Phelps could make a claim to the same thing, but groups weren't formed to combat Fred, and Fred does more than simply stand for his rights.
In this instance the fact that people are standing up for a moral wrong is eating away at them. In order to make that pain go away they have to remove all voices that remind them of the truth.
Way to go, Parker.
Shalom.
