Haditha Child: I Knew of Bomb Plot to Kill Marines

A 12-year old survivor of the alleged massacre of innocent civilians by U.S. Marines patrolling Haditha has admitted she had prior knowledge of the plot to detonate an IED as their convoy was passing by her house on the morning of Nov. 19, 2005.

In a CNN interview broadcast Wednesday, Safa Younis - who says eight members of her family were killed by U.S. troops - recalled that she was getting ready for school as the Marine Humvee approached.

"I was planning to go to school. I was about to go out of bed. I knew the bomb would explode so I covered my ears," the youngster said, according to a CNN translator.

"The bomb [then] exploded," she explained. "The bomb struck an armored vehicle. I don't know if it was a Humvee or an armored vehicle. When the bomb exploded, they came straight to my house."

Younis complained that after the bombing killed Lance Cpl. Miguel Terrazas, his fellow Marines broke down the front door of her house.

"The American forces entered the house and started shooting with their guns. They killed my mother and my sister Nour. They killed her when she shot her in the head. She was only 15 years old. My other sister was shot with seven bullets in the head and she was only 10 years old."

The Haditha co-conspirator continued:

"And my brother Muhammad was hiding under the bed when the U.S. military hit him with the butt of the gun and the started shooting him under the bed. The U.S. military then shot me and I was showered in blood. We couldn't leave the house because the U.S. military surrounded the area with a large number of soldiers."

Younis said she survived by pretending to be dead.

But the "innocent" Haditha 12-year-old failed to give any further details about which other family members knew about the bomb plot. Or whether one of her relatives had detonated the blast.

It's a good thing that despite this traumatic event, she was able to keep an exact count on how many times her brother got shot in the head.

I forced myself to watch the Mark Shields/David Brooks segment of Jim Lehrer's program on PBS last night, which was mostly about Haditha and other alleged incidents...Brooks wasn't quite as lame as usual. Shields was into his usual moral outrage shtick...it never seemed to occur to him that "testimony" from pro-insurgent civilians might be a lie...he referred to testimony from a 9-year-old Iraqi as if it had to be the truth.

The National Media engine of the Democratic Party knows absolutely no limits on its attacks of America. Speaking out of both sides of their treacherous mouths, these Democratic Party surrogates say they support the troops while attacking them at the same time. They will give days or weeks of airtime to fruitcakes like Murtha to spout their anti-American propaganda just to distract from the real issue that Democratic politicians are criminally collecting bribes.

It now appears that the national media water boys for the Democratic Party have stepped in it again.

While spouting day and night about U.S. Troops having "assassinated" innocent civilians, just to escalate the conflict in Iraq and kill more U.S. soldiers, they ignored basic standards of journalism. The routinely quoted innuendo and allegation as fact. Mind you, ONLY the Democratic Party innuendo and allegation that is. Their blind hatred of America and Bush is so frightening, it is only eclipsed by terrorists who hijacked several jets and flew two of those jets into the New York Twin Towers.

The Democrat media knows no bounds. Today, after the military conducted a thorough investigation, it released its report demonstrating that the Marines being ATTACKED by the Democrat Media followed protocol in engaging an armed enemy who is attacking them.

This recent Reuters / Yahoo News Report demonstrates that the media was on a witch-hunt against the military for the Democratic Party. The findings make it absolutely clear that the media and Murtha for the Democratic Party are just plain LYING TO AMERICA TO SUPPORT TERRORIST ATTACKS ON AMERICAN TROOPS!
