Beg to differ. No serious driver wants in on irl oval driving , none.

Take a long look at CHAMP Car and their massive ladder system and close relationship with F1.Drivers from Europe drive in CHAMP.Drivers from South Amercia want in also.

CHAMP has created a large organization and is in a postion to dominate now,and long into the future.

Just read Ward's Auto World "10 Best Engines" for the last 10 years.

Honda always does well and this year has 2 engines in the top ten.

GM with FAR more money and FAR resources has only the 4.2L Vortec in the top ten.

Honda has some decent engines, but they are far from "the only serious engine company in the world." They tend toward high-rpm, low-torque engines.

Hmmm...according to Wikipedia, there were no Honda engines on the list for 2006. There were, however, two GM engines, two Audi engines and one Ford engine on the list:

Yup, everyone knows right turns are so much more difficult than left turns. Who cares if you cannot see most of the track? Good racing is good racing regardless of the track type, road, off road, oval, drag etc. As long as I can see 90%+ of the track I want to be there. On road races, the only way is TV and a DVR.

You know, I remember when the Indy 500 used to be the Indy 500, and some guy - can't remember the team or driver - reworked an old schoolbus engine and came in 10th, I believe.

Anyway, I would like to see Indy be Indy again, and not just another race with Tony George Approved engines, or Tony George approved chassis, or Tony George approved rules or....

It should be open to any and all comers. Here's the basic rules: certain width, height, weight, displacement etc... buy it, build it whatever...

I saw an ad in the paper the day before the track opened that offered a two for one coupon for opening day tickets. I think that's a first.

Always enjoyed the time trials better than the race.
Open track practice in the morning before the Time trials and then the trials lasted until 6PM local time.
The race itself is over in less time than a NFL or MLB game.

You ever been to an NFL game? Let me assure you that the game itself is sometimes anticlimatic. It's the build-up and tailgating that is the real 'game'.

Going around a circle gets you back to where you started. That's not what he's trying to say. English is a tool. Learn to use it well.

He is trying to say that they have covered the entire spectrum of what you can do as an engine manufacturer in that market. Kind of like saying they went from 1 o'clock to 12:59:59. Since they started at the beginning and can't go any farther without recovering ground they already covered, then 'full circle' is a valid expression. It just depends on how you look at it.
