Are Americans who want to send the illegals back willing to send some jobs back with them? There are still a lot of manufacturing jobs in the US, despite the shrinkage. We could build more International trucks, Chevrolets and VWs in Mexico.
We could make it advantageous to buy that top quality Mexican baby clothing rather than inferior cheap Chinese baby clothing. (My wife's business is Mexican made baby clothing.)
Better to import from Mexico than China?

CL Note the reference to "Bad Mexican". Hope it never comes to that name calling.

I would rather help a pseudo-democracy than a communist state.
I could make a bad joke about how many people could fit in a Mexican car, but I'll refrain.

It is not America's job to send jobs to Mexico. The Mexican government needs to get off it's lazy a$$ and create some econimic stimulation, not to mention getting away from their corrupt ways.

The Mexican people need to stop spending their money, blood and sweat crossing our border, and start their own revolution. If their corrupt government were overthrown, jobs would materialize.
The French did it, for crying out loud. So can the Mexicans.

Then there is the third case, etc...
By annexing Mexico, and eventual statehood for it, these families, at least the Mexican families, can be reunited. At least the ones where the families want to stay together.

I think the undiscovered truth in this whole immigration mess is that most of our policies are actually intended to prevent an absolute collapse of Mexican society. NAFTA, the Mexican Bailout, and the current immigration proposals are all centered around keeping Mexico solvent enough that it doesn't meltdown into revolution (and who knows what we might get out of that). We don't need another oil-rich country in the hands of despots. The trick is to reform the corrupt system that's already there, and on that, we've had a real failure.
I've come to agree with the President's view-- you can't deport 12 million illegals, not because we couldn't do it, or because we need these people to trim our hedges, but because dumping that many poor back on the broken system down there would likely break it entirely, and then we would have a quasi-Somalia on our doorstep.
Yes, I think we should look at trying to build up the Mexican lower class in Mexico. But I'm not sure what the solution in the current situation there is.

They want fathers for their children Men leaving their children without support? Dead-beat Mexicans!
If Mexicans were so hard working, why is their country still a 3rd world $hithole?

Mexico has nice silver jewelry, ceramics and of course..baby clothes. I used to cross the Border once a month, when I lived In Arizona to buy "stuff"..:)
I have nothing against buying Mexican products. Beats that Chinese resin crap.

Many of the illegals who would be rounded up and shipped back to Mexico have family in the U.S Many of the illegals have wives and children in both the US and Mexico- so you can see what a problem it would be if they were all deported. The issue for many would not be seperating the family, but too much family togetherness.

my paisanos north of the border have a similar plea. They want to keep their families together. Many of the illegals who would be rounded up and shipped back to Mexico have family in the U.S.No problema. Happily ship the whole damn family back home together, and let the citizens among them apply for re-entry when they reach 18 or 21.

Their men and husbands are too busy screwing around on their wives here with impunity to go back more than likely.
