Look, this illegal immiration issue is VITAL to the future of this country. It's not like other issues. It's as important as the WOT.

A lot of us don't think the President is making the right decision on the immigration issue. We think our country is headed in a very, very bad direction if our President's plan goes through.
Saying "grow up" is a childish response to a legitimate concern.

Amen! If we don't seal the borders, we won't have a country that we can call the USA!

There is no more important leagacy that I can pass on to my grandchildren.

Nobody has been banned. Actually, all they received was a polite warning to knock it off. Please get your facts straight before accusing next time. Thank you.

It does seem more reasonable to give a poster a "warning" before they are "banned." Although I've seen bannings happen without a warning.

I've had news threads which, even when I designate as Extended News, are removed from any sidebar category, yet a vanity rant is "Breaking News."

I am not following the logic here. And I am still wondering why a poster who made a death threat on forum was not banned.

YES! He's going to the tree farm! GOOD idea. The city sawed down one of our 120 year old trees last week.

Would you really want moderators who don't have opinions about politics?

Not when they're on duty. I wasn't aware that part of their job description as moderators was informing FReepers where their opinions lay.

If they can tell us their opinions, why can't we know their names?

Hi Gary

I suggest you keep on writing the White House about your case. We never hear of cases like this, so those involved must bring forth this treatment.

Good luck.

Thank you so much for this post. I haven't been frequenting freeperville too often lately due to the insanity that has been running rampant of late.

Hopefully others will heed your post.

It's a long way 'til November, and by August we may see riots in LA along the lines of Watts or torched cars a la France. One hopes not, but it could be a long, hot summer, and people are frustrated and angry. I'm speaking of illegals, who've bought their leaders' arguments that they're entitled to instant citizenship as a human right. If the worst happens, a wall would go up rather quickly. This would reverse Bush's low poll numbers overnight.

And I want to say this too. If the democrats get in power, they will pull out of Iraq.

What does that say to our enemies?

What does it say to our military men and women and their families who have died and lost limbs?

These beautiful young people who have sacrificed EVERYTHING for the United States, will be told by the one party issue people that THEIR issue is more important than their sacrifices.

I'll try to explain this real slow.If you go slow, it's because you are slow witted.

The history I cited was and is correct. You want to add a whole bunch of other stuff so you can make excuses for politicians, by all means have at it. It means nothing to anyone but you.

Despite all the nonsense you pretend I said, but I never did, two Republican Presidents nominated and supported two liberal judges. They were either stupid, or didn't have the guts to look the liberals in the eyes and escalate the battle. A lot of apologists claim the SCOTUS seats are the most important thing a conservative President can do, yet it isn't important enough to fight to the bitter end.

Alternately, the Republicans aren't very conservative. Like the current guy. He is what he is, but he never claimed to be conservative. A good thing since he is not.

BTW, the jury is still out on the two he just put in. (pun intended) Not to mention the one HE ACTUALLY wanted, who was certainly not conservative.

The fact is, electing Republicans doesn't necessarily lead to conservative judges.

I hope that was slow enough for you.

And they want to post nasty comments that they can then quote in other mediums as proof of the hatefulness of FR members. I totally agree with the system of moderators keeping the threads from becoming IEDs to the site.

Interesting. Some see name calling, key word abuse as "objectionable."

Oh, is that all it takes? I could show you dozens of threads I've posted or participated in where those how make a career out of attacking immigration reform/border security advocates have done exactly that. I didn't see any of them get banned.

It's not about opinion, it's about vitriol. And if you can't tell the difference then that's a shame.

While there are many who disagree I have yet to see a sensible alternative or even suggestion as to how to clean up a mess that has gotten out of hand.

The biggest problem is the amazing economy here in the states. If there were no jobs there would be no one sneaking in.

That said, we need to get control of the borders.

There are solutions that would be a start such as cutting off any aid to cities that declare their city a safe zone for illegals. Imagine the outcry!!

There are other solutions but bashing the President, the republicans, etc. is nothing more than spleen venting that ought to be done elsewhere.
