I searched but did not see a thread already open for tonights speech. I think this is the most important speech the President will probably make for the remainder of his term.
Mod Note:
This could turn into a whack-a-troll thread. All immigration trolls that would like to participate should post here. It'll be interesting to see if we mods can whack the trolls faster than they can sign up new accounts.
Jim
"Groucho Marx?
Aha, you're a MARXIST!!!"
Yeah, and a grouchy one at that!
Oh yeah..I hear the people who don't follow politics in the background saying "What the hey! We are closing the border after 200+ years?. Oh yea, that needed to be done decades ago..let alone post 9/11."
This is a win win for the pubbies big-time.
I really don't mind if they want to listen to some of my phone calls, as long as they don't munch on corn chips in the background...lol.
If Tancredo doesn't that's good enough for me as he's been out in front on this issue (and very vocal about it) for a long time. Thanks Peach! Hope all is well w you.
"And I've been ripping Bush six ways from Sunday on his lack of any kind of border policy, yet ..."
Am I beginning to sense a pattern here?
Nope, you just scared them. No one wants to go back to Mexico.
You're just finishing up and I'll be starting in about 12 minutes - whoo hoo!
thank you--need confirmation my imagination is in check!
How many people do both of you know, PERSONALLY, who live in Fairfield county, Conn.? I bet neither of you know any at all.
Well, I LIVE THERE!
None of my gardeners are Hispanics; let alone Hispanic illegals. THEY WERE LL BORN HERE, AS WAS GENERATIONS OF THEIR RESPECTIVE FAMILIES! None of them are Irish, Chinese, Russian/old USSR nationationals, Nigeria or other African born illegals. None of my neighbors have illegals in their employ, to baby sit, mow lawns, clean house, or anything else you have and have not yet mentioned.
Your delusional imaginings, spat out as insults, don't you either of you any good at all; it just makes you both look extremely foolish.
Madam, in my family or my church, some might take positions or do things that I might not always agree with, but that does not mean that they should be excluded. By the same token I do things and take positions that others may dislike. However, we are united by far more than by what divides us. The same holds true of political parties. Causing division in a family or a church or a political party or movement on account of a disagreement on one issue is acceptable only in the rarest of circumstances.
It's a good one tonight... of course they are all good.
Cubans would say "solo coño!" or "apenas coño!"
"maldiga" is another word sorta for damn.
"coño" can mean other worse words depending if used as a noun .....the "edged or fold" word for vagina or just the f-word as a verb.

Dobbs and Tancredo had initial good comments about the speech. Dobbs later changed his tune a bit. Tancredo was all over the place tonite, but all his comments toward the president were respectful, even though he didn't agree with all the speech. As a matter of fact, I didn't really see anybody in my channel surfing trash the prez, though I'm sure some did.

Then Tancredo must have changed his tune or something. I heard some initial comments and he seemed to react favorably to it. Oh well. You can't expect everything all at once. That's not how the world works. This speach Bush gave is far and away better than his position the past six years on the border. I don't know how anyone can argue otherwise.

I agree. This is like the juvie FR board or something. Bush practically knocked me down tonight saying all the things that me and most conservatives have been wanting for years when it comes to the borders and illegals. I bet Limbaugh and Hannity are all over this speach tomorrow saying how "it's about time!". Tancredo liked it a LOT and really supported Bush on this speach, and given the fact that he co-founded the Minutemen that says it all. As much as Tancredo liked this speach, I think those here who oppose it and are ragging on Bush for this speech really need to grow up and think about it. Tancredo likes the speach! That says it all.

I don't know about that. Lou Dobbs liked the speech. You had that line ready no matter what the outcome

There were others but there's only so much looking through thousands of posts I'm willing to do.
I'll judge for myself tomorrow.
Oh, sorry you got so sick! Glad you're feeling better. Sounds like you may have had a fun time tonight. Talk to you soon - -take care and have a safe trip back!
Thanks! You too!
Well I'll be damned. So that's what it is that has their noses so out of joint concerning '04 sign-ups.
Then blame the ones responsible, the GOP leadership.
This isn't so hard to figure out. It's taxpayers vs the freeloaders.
