The Lord will . . . not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to strike you. Exodus 12:23 My friends Deb and Bryce were invited by some Jewish friends to attend their seder dinner. This is a celebration held by Jewish families to commemorate the first Passover in Egypt (Exodus 12:24-27). The entire family becomes involved, including the little children.
Deb and Bryce expected a somber evening, but they discovered a joyous celebration. At the beginning of the meal, a piece of bread was halved. One half was shared by the guests; the other half was hidden by the youngest family member. All the adults searched for it, to the childs delight. When the bread was not discovered, it was ransomed by the child amid great laughter. Then followed an evening of stories and songs, and the oft-repeated phrase: LChayim! To life!
Why not a joyous celebration? The Passover marks the deliverance of Israel from slavery and the destroyer.
The Passover meal Jesus and His disciples shared the night before His death was a celebration too, but with serious overtones. It signaled the beginning of the events that led to His sacrifice and our redemption from sin and Satan.
From spiritual slavery to spiritual freedom. From death to life. As we celebrate our deliverance, we too can say with joy to one another, LChayim! To life!
Deliverance from sin is the greatest of all freedoms.

Bumping Military Monday.
Hi Feather, Thanks for the bump.
In the coming battle, we need the help of St. Michael, IMHO.
It's good to be back.
Was two hours and 89 miles or so away from my machine.
*unngh!*
I agree with you.
I know that's aggravating.
It was extremely so.
I did miss everyone.
Nice pics above - is that the thrust of this thread? To post pics of serving members of the military?
I am sure you will get a warm welcome back from everyone.
Likely later on once everyone is in, awake, and had their coffee since it is early for people to be in thread yet.
Been back since 2300 hours Thursday, but decided to slowly wander around the forum to check back in.
Most of the pics above are Veterans, I am there from 1976.
We have some active duty there, we also have wives, aunts, uncles, Moms and Dads of active duty that visit here.
We dedicate Monday to Honor our troops and Veterans.
Many come by to post Prayers and tributes every Monday.
Ya, weekends are usually slow especailly with the warmer weather finally here.
On this Mothers' Day during which we all enjoy the benefits of freedom, I would ask that you remember in prayer my brothers in arms from Co's K & L, 3/5 who fell in battle on Mothers' Day, May 13, 1969 in I Corps RVN.
