BUSH SET FOR IMMIGRATION SPEECH WHITE HOUSE President Bush is getting set for a prime-time speech on Aides note the 8 p-m, Eastern Time, speech will be the president's first from the Oval Office that does not involve Iraq and the war on terrorism. And they say that reflects Bush's He's speaking as the Senate is poised to clear a compromise measure including his idea for a guest worker program. However, a rival House bill is limited to a border crackdown, and meshing the two won't be easy. Stand Up For America ! |
We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

I listened to Thank You, America.
Now I'm listening to Minutemen Remix.
Wow. Thanks. Gianluca is a find!
Ah I saw this and smiles and thought it in fact would be cheaper to landmine it if the President was at all serious about enforcement ;)
Wow. Thanks. Gianluca is a find!
Oh your so welcome, I just sent him a love letter ;)
Sealed with a KISS?!!
As soon as I excerpted and posted that, they took the article down from the site.
It appears every day or every so often they feature a story for reader comments.
I'd say 98% of the responses were in favor of Sensenbrenner, HR 4437, enforcement.
Two or three trotted out the "legalize, don't criminalize" propaganda. But, as we know, they're already criminals the way they got here.
That's kind of a cool surveyer's stake.
Stop the border bleeding

I guess it's time to restate the obvious.
President Bush still doesn't get it.
Or worse, he gets it and continues to deliberately deceive the American people.
We do not need nor desire a "comprehensive immigration reform plan" at least as he envisions it.
Bush is trying to extort the American people by promising to protect the border with still inadequate measures only if we accept the illegal presence of 15 million aliens already here and many, many millions more in the future.
The American people must continue to reject this shakedown.
We cannot be held hostage by Bush's continuing irresponsible, reckless refusal to enforce the existing laws. He and his predecessors in the White House created this problem. He has no moral authority to tell us we must now live with the disasters he enabled or face even worse crises in the future.
The very survival of our nation is at stake.
That is, in essence, what he is trying to sell us. Just say no.

It would look really cool in the shadow of a twenty foot wall.
naw he's a baby not even 40! LOL!
You guys found a new young boyfriend and I gotta say good night anyway. Nite, ladies. ; )
Yeah, but it would have to be on the sunny side. We'd be breaking the law if we built the wall on Mexico's side. /sarcasm

If today I don't have to speak German and live under the third reich...
Thank you America
If today I don't have to speak Russian and live under that red flag...
Thank you America
If today my wife doesn't have to hide her face and she can live like a woman...
Thank you America
If today I can drink a beer and celebrate life with no fear...
Thank you America
If today I can choose my own God...
If today I can say what I think without looking behind my back...
If today I can be the owner of my present and dream about my future...
If today I am a free man in a free Country... I want to say one more time...
Thank you America

Right you are. I missed that part of the President's speech...
"I believe marches were good ideas, but now WE NEED TO MEET THE SENATORS to express to them that not everybody is illegal who feels like this," said Sandra Lacayo, a 27-year-old immigrant from Nicaragua."
HA. This isn't just going to be protests OUTSIDE the Capitol....someones going to give them direct access to the senators!!!I read an article on the net that last time they went to D.C. and 'surrounded' the white house and congress, they got access to meeting the senators and pushing their demands on them. Dang, I wish I had saved that article because it almost sounded as if they walked right onto the senate floor while it was in session and thousands of them also went knocking on the doors of the Senators offices. Someone sympathetic to their cause, Kennedy perhaps, will facilitate this. I've gotta look for that article.
