Bush set for immigration speech

BUSH SET FOR IMMIGRATION SPEECH

WHITE HOUSE President Bush is getting set for a prime-time speech on
immigration tomorrow night.

Aides note the 8 p-m, Eastern Time, speech will be the president's first from the Oval Office that does not involve Iraq and the war on terrorism. And they say that reflects Bush's
"passion" on immigration.

He's speaking as the Senate is poised to clear a compromise measure including his idea for a guest worker program. However, a rival House bill is limited to a border crackdown, and meshing the two won't be easy.

Stand Up For America !

"We have room for but one flag, the American flag...
We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...
And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

They caved... this surprises you? How long has either one of them had to do anything about this issue? It was all political ploy. Way back on one of these threads I said i didn't trust either one of them, and I was right. Neither one of them has done a flippin thing, ever, to do anything but encourage this mass influx of illegals into the state of Texas. God knows, they have had plenty of "time" to try. (*And... calling their offices, writing them... the writing was on the wall there, too.)

Old info re: particulars and passage of the House Bill, for reference:

"Nobody is advocating the deportation of 11 million illegal immigrants, said Rep. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., sponsor of a guest worker measure. Without a temporary worker program, he said, "We simply won't enforce the law, and that's the dirty little secret here."

http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2005-12-15-immigration-usat_x.htm

"The House approved the Border Protection, Antiterrorism, and Illegal Immigration Control Act of 2005 (HR 4437) on Dec. 16, 2005, by a vote of 239 to 182.  Voting in favor of the bill were 203 Republicans and 36 Democrats; voting against were 164 Democrats, 17 Republicans, and 1 independent. "

How they voted (I am unable to open, can someone open and copy?)

A HUGE campaign against the BUREAUCRACY - a new tactic can create lots of pressure. We can enlist support from Radio Talk Show Hosts - big names and smaller names in the business. Flood the news media - print and t.v. with demands for enforcement of current laws.

BTTT!

Lou Dobbs Tonight
Friday, May 26, 2006

Join Lou for an hour of news, debate and opinion. We’ll be
following the latest from Capitol Hill after gunshots were
reported in the Rayburn Building this morning, and we’ll tell you about the illegal immigration battle building between the House and the Senate.

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa will meet privately with Mexican President Vicente Fox to discuss the ever-growing opportunity for trade between Mexico and the City of Los Angeles. We’ll have the report tonight.

One major part of the President’s immigration reform plan is to provide a tamper-proof ID card. But current forms of
identification – social security cards and driver’s licenses –are easily manipulated for fraudulent purposes. How will this card be any different?

Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison of Texas voted against the
Senate’s immigration bill. The Senator joins Lou tonight to
explain why she believes it does nothing to make this country’s borders more secure.

And in our salute to our fighting men and women in uniform, “Heroes” – we'll bring you the story of the brave doctors and nurses who are caring for our wounded troops.

We hope you will join us.

Visit http://cnn.com/loudobbstonight for more on
tonight’s show.
