Convicted Sept. 11 conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui says he lied on the witness stand about being involved in the plot and wants to withdraw his guilty plea because he now believes he can get a fair trial.

In a motion filed Friday but released today, Moussaoui said he testified March 27 he was supposed to hijack a fifth plane on Sept. 11, 2001, and fly it into the White House "even though I knew that was a complete fabrication."

I can see it now. In a couple years he will have a wide screen boob tube in his cell. Any imported food dishes he wants, and a cell phone with free calling service.

Bush has had the same position on immigration since the 2000 election.

He hasn't. He then promised to enforce our borders while doing nothing of the sort and instead trying to bring amnesty and ensure an on-going flow across the border.

Not exactly overlooking the rockies. The walls of the exercise yard are so tall that all one can see is the sky, from what I have seen and heard.

Perhaps some vile hard acid rock would be more appropriate, while they blind fold him and hand him a cane to roam the courtyard

Better yet, "force" him to view nude supermodels, the barbaric trademark of the decadent western Satan.

Guess he changed his mind on the "I won, America lost" thing real fast.

Actually, he's pressing his advantage and pushing for total victory.

And not only that, he's going to be an EU Stop Cowboy Bush superstar, whose fate will complicate every single bilateral Euro-American interaction, and a UN General Assembly poster boy, as well.

How criminally stupid that he was ever turned over to the civil courts.

Ramzi Yousef was convicted of actually setting the bombs in the first WTC attack in 1993.

Nobody gives a damn about him.

I think you're overly concerned about this terrorist.

Moussaoui's got more FReepers spooked than he does anybody else.

Doesn't Islamic law require death of those who commit perjury?

It's okay to lie to infidels.

...Ronald Griesacker, fraudster, passed $2 million in worthless checks.

How'd that dude get in there? He must have said something nasty about the judge's mother.

So did the jury.

Thank you for the LA Times for giving him a voice. Remember how the judge said he'd never be heard from again? Well, thanks to the LA Times and others of its ilk, America's enemies will always have a voice.

At sentencing, she told Moussaoui: "You do not have a right to appeal your convictions, as was explained to you when you plead guilty" in April 2005. "You waived that right.",

She said he could appeal his sentence but added, "I believe it would be an act of futility."

Judge Judy says "You waived that right you naughty boy"

True, I haven't heard anyone wringing their hands-yet. The real whining and the Release-Moos0wie articles may not start until the media and CAIR have completely distorted and obfuscated the facts. It may take a few years, like it did with that cop killer a while back, but they'll have him seeming like a victim in a relatively short time.

give the left some more time - they might be able to use his case to get supermax closed.

the point is - so long as this dirtbag is alive, appeals on his behalf will be filed on everything under the sun. and some of those appeals will be successful. did you ever thing POWs at Gitmo would be granted habeas rights?
