Convicted Sept. 11 conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui says he lied on the witness stand about being involved in the plot and wants to withdraw his guilty plea because he now believes he can get a fair trial.

In a motion filed Friday but released today, Moussaoui said he testified March 27 he was supposed to hijack a fifth plane on Sept. 11, 2001, and fly it into the White House "even though I knew that was a complete fabrication."

"His amnesty program is making Bush look like a fool, he doesn't need the mullahs help"

Another case of IYHO.

Bush has had the same position on immigration since the 2000 election. I hardly think that makes him look like a fool. Quite the contrary, I think dolts like you who think there is only one "right" view of the immigration issue look foolish.

From the article..

Moussaoui's court-appointed lawyers told the court they filed the motion even though a federal rule "prohibits a defendant from withdrawing a guilty plea after imposition of sentence." They did so anyway because of their "problematic relationship with Moussaoui" and the fact that new lawyers have yet to be appointed to replace them.

Looks like he's scr@wed the pooch as long as all the libs don't rally for his cause.

According to the WP, the hour a day is just for the first year. If he behaves properly, he gets more time outside and a chance to interact with other prisioners.

Oh please, the American people have demonstrated they don't have the cajones or raw emotion to do anything to this guy. He killed thousands of us and I bet he could go around as free as OJ and never get so much as beat up.

let's not kid ourselves here folks, this guy is going to be a superstar figure for every ACLU and human rights watch lawyer, bringing every appeal imaginable on his behalf into the court system.

And not only that, he's going to be an EU Stop Cowboy Bush superstar, whose fate will complicate every single bilateral Euro-American interaction, and a UN General Assembly poster boy, as well.

How criminally stupid that he was ever turned over to the civil courts.

Zacharias Moussaoui, the hate America gift that keeps on giving.

"I wonder if they make him listen to John Denver too."
Inquiring minds must have an answer. Perhaps some vile hard acid rock would be more appropriate, while they blind fold him and hand him a cane to roam the courtyard. Wait till he has to walk around in a few feet of snow in 5° weather.
Wonder if he will demand rubber booties.

He will become a cause celeb for the MSM and the ACLU!!

The JURY even said he was a minor player, insignificant.

He is playing with us and our upside down justice system that makes victims out of perps.

Sickening!!!

I believe that the judge told Zak that he couln't appeal his guilty plea.

Maybe he can appeal the sentence and end up with death next time.

How long before his image is on protest placards right along with Che, Mao, and the ever-popular Mumia?

Five seconds, and unlike Che, Mao, and Mumia, this guy is going to be alive for the next fifty years (on your dime).
