Congressman 'Duke' Cunningham who just got convicted of bribery had a nice gig where a limosine company - which also had a homeland security contract - provided him and allegedly some other VIPs with hookers and poker games at the Watergate hotel.

The FBI has been all over DC investigating and it looks like the s*** is starting to hit the fan. I would expect more resignations and indictments.

I'm not sure when Tony starts. So far I've heard Mon. Tues. or Thurs.

I don't get it. He was cleaning house, exposing leaks and he was appointed by Bush. He was a former agent and ran the House Intel committee.

He wasn't there that long to put himself in a scandal.

Who has concluded that Goss is guilty of anything?

~Absolutely good point!

Also she indicated that prostitutes were involved in gambling parties at Watergate Hotel....

So? An "intern" was involved in cigar parties at the White House with Bill Clinton and we were told what? All together now: It's only about sex. Everybody does it. It depends on what the meaning of the word "is" is.

After the way the media and Dim spin machine dismissed what Clinton and Lewinsky did in the Oval Office, I don't give a rat's butt about Washington scandals anymore.

Attributing this to the "shakeup" doesn't pass the smell test. If it IS, then they need to dump Josh Bolten instead.

Not jumping to conclusions--I haven't kept up with Hookergate-I've been busy with Duke, LOL!

I am shocked by the suddeness and how out of the ordinary this is. As they said earlier, this was his lifelong dream.

Strange, so very strange.

It might be something as obvious as bureaucratic diminishment of the CIA under the new DCI Negroponte (and Goss feeling passed over). Then again, I remember when Goss was appointed there was talk that he didn't expect to do it for 5+ years and that he had been on the verge of retirement, etc. Maybe he's just done the stint that he planned on, made some changes that he thought were most urgent, and now wants to pass it on to someone who may serve 5-10 years and continue with reforms. At least that's what I'm hoping......

"CIA supporters are upset about what they see as the neutering of an agency that helped win the Cold War and worry that it will undermine its human spy responsibilities, of which the CIA is still in charge. "It's a huge thing going on. It's a huge drama and nobody's picking up on it," the former CIA official said of the DNI's realignment of CIA responsibilities. "CIA feels quite friendless right now. We're seeing more pieces of it just keep being moved to the door." A senior U.S. official sympathetic to the CIA warns that "if the DNI's not careful, the Agency and what it does will be different, and maybe that’s what everybody wants. That’s OK, but maybe the Agency won’t be able to do what everybody wants."

Admitted briber Mitchell Wade of MZM, Inc. helped procure prostitutes for former Rep. Randy "Duke" Cunningham (R-CA) -- and possibly for others:

Federal investigators in San Diego have made it clear that while just-resigned Rep. Randy "Duke" Cunningham pled guilty last week to taking bribes from defense contractors, their public corruption probe will not stop at Cunningham. Numerous current and retired CIA officials say they will not be surprised if the investigation touches the CIA in general, and its third-ranking official in particular.

According to past and present CIA officials interviewed over the past month, CIA executive director Kyle "Dusty" Foggo--whose career duties have encompassed letting CIA contracts--has had a long, close personal relationship with two contractors identified (though not explicitly named) in court papers as bribing Cunningham

Directly before coming executive director, Foggo was chief of the CIA's support base in Germany, which provides its Middle East stations, including Baghdad, with logistical support. While there, according to a recently retired CIA official, he let at least one contract to Wilkes. A veteran CIA administrative officer also noted that while Foggo has spent most of his career as an MGS officer, he also did a stint in the agency's Directorate of Science and Technology, "where a lot of really big contracts are handled."

In this case its not about sex, its about bribery. Corruption.
