In another internet forum, a former FReeper is monitoring police scanner frequencies in Santa Ana, CA. He reported earlier that all riot control units were called to the area as a riot was beginning to erupt.
Minutes ago he reported that the radio traffic indicated that shots had been fired.
More info as it comes in. Does anyone live near Santa Ana, is there any confirmation on local TV or radio? Anyone have a police scanner or an online link?
No...Vista isn't Chula Vista. Vista is probably 30 minutes north of Chula Vista (well, depends on time of day)...CV is nearer to the border. There were some gatherings there also earlier today from what I heard.

The fix must be in. Our fearless "leaders" don't want the rest of America to see what savages these people are. They're also rioting down in Vista (San Diego County).
While Arnold was sleeping he should have called in the National Guard. I hope this mess wakes the rest of America up, because it will be coming to other states soon if any one of these insane amnesty proposals are passed.

No reports of violence made the early am Boston local news. Oh, well, as long as it's PC mayhem/murder, MA MSM lets it go. (Fatboy Kennedy and clan...including Michael Skakel and 'Sluggo' Kennedy Smith who got away with raping that woman in Palm Beach a few years back during the usual Kennedy Easter weekend.) Fox News Channel just showed a brief snippet of the Reuters video and mentioned the riots in L.A. Then they went on to say how peaceful everything was.
However, I don't doubt reports of shots fired yesterday in SA. LOTS of guns in the local news lately:
Daily Pilot, April 27: Gunman robs mail business at gunpoint (Harbor & Adams). Robber describes at Latino man, 5'8", 170 lbs, wearing black t-shirt and black hat.
Daily Pilot, April 26: Santa Ana man killed in gang-related shooting in Costa Mesa Monday night (off of Baker ... close to Fairview). Julio Cesar Guerrero-Elias, 20, was shot after dropping off a friend in an alley off Filmore Way.
April 5: Fredy Lopez was shot multiple times (died) by unidentified gunman in alley in the 1000 block of El Camino (same general area as April 26 shooting). The shooter called Lopez by his nickname, a gang moniker. Police do not believe the two shootings are related.
And waaay too close (Feb. 12): Illegal Shot Killed. Police are looking for the gunman who killed 21-year-old Hermes Rodriguez. Authorities have released few details in the case, only saying the shooting came after a fight near Hamilton Street and Wallace Avenue.
Several years back, a drug investigation turned weapons sting ended with arrests in K-Mart Center (Harbor & Wilson) parking lot. Illegals/gang members told undercover officers they could supply them with anything they wanted (weapon-wise) and the officers purchased several firearms fully loaded.
It appears that the illegal alien population here in the southland in the last ten years has tripled, with more to come if this first Mexican President Bush has his way with us.

"Video posted on Buzznet shows Los Angeles police squaring off tonight with protesters who were not dispersing on Alvarado Street. Just before 9 pm, the video shooter writes, the police line charged; lots of screaming and cursing is heard, and in later videos protesters break glass on bus shelters and there may be gunshots. The 22-year-old video poster (he calls himself panasonicyouth) writes:
"Perhaps one of the most frightening things I've ever seen, the police storm the protestors again for the second time. Watch closely; you'll see one Hispanic male start to run, and then you'll see the LAPD pick one guy and begin to hail him with clubs and kicks. He falls to the ground, assumes the fetal position, and continues to get beat/kicked for another 10-15 seconds. Watch the LAPD and the sheriffs throw people out of the way who try to come to this guy's aid. He was bleeding quite a bit from his head, but I couldn't get close enough to film that. One of the sheriff's had a billy club pointed at me. The worst part of this video is when the group who are helping the wounded man out of the way. Watch closely and you can see an LAPD officer run in and hit an innocent good samaritan with his/her club. Disgusting."
"A few minutes later he posts a new video, with this commentary:
"Immediately after the last video, I begin to film the LAPD who come south on Alvarado on motorcycles. Their method of clearing the street is to drive head on with people, threatening to run them over. You can see them nearly hit a protestor on the right side of the street who is right next to the sidewalk. Immediately after this, the protestors begin to freak out. You can still hear the girl from the previous video screaming about the guy getting beat. Then someone smashes in the glass of a bus stop and all hell breaks loose. People start running, screaming, breaking glass, and causing general mayhem...
"His post at 10:43 pm:
"More glass/windows/bus stops are broken all around me, on all sides. And you can't see it, but you can see people running. You might be able to hear it a bit, but there are two gunshots towards the end and I turn off the video and we all start running."
