What a slap in the face to Americans who do lots of these jobs.
Exactly!
Every day, there are American citizens who are doing those jobs. It is an insult to them and it is elitist to say they don't or to say we need illegals to do those jobs because Americans won't do them.

Now I'm seeing a few walking in groups of twos and threes heading for downtown. I notice there are cones at the intersection one block away. I guess they will be marching within one block of my house this time.

I voted but there was no button to push to count my vote. It said, 'vote to see results' but nothing showed up.
You are not allowed to push that button!
That would take a job away from an illegal.
Where is your 'undocumented' button pusher? Only he/she is authorized by Congress to push that button.

Now...that is certainly another possibility! :)
I keep my browser (netscape) on 150% and sometimes it gives me trouble with things like polls.

What is it with the media refusing to tell it like it is? This is a day without ILLEGAL immigrants, not a day without immigrants.
The organizers changed it from illegal criminal border crossers to all immigrants to increase their numbers and to further the liberal agenda of lumping all immigrants illegal criminals as well as law abiding legal immigrants into the same category.

Even legal immigrants are opposed to illegals.
The ones in my neighborhood strongly oppose it. They had to hassle with doing it the right way, pay their taxes and FICA why should a bunch of criminals be handed everything on a silver platter?

Absolutely right Onyx. That well and truly is more evidence that most Americans are sick and tired of all this illegal immigrant crap. They flaunt our laws, act like they own the place, most don't pay taxes, get health care and education American citizens have to pay for either directly or in taxes, and think they can do what they want, when they want, and come and go as they please. That definitely is NOT the result the libs as msnbc were expecting on that poll. I'd be very surprised if the poll stays up through today and isn't pulled. The Republican party has truly screwed up in their cautious stance on this issue. The majority of the American people are fed up and ready to take a stand on this. If the Pubs in the Congress can break their spines out of mothballs and make a stand on this and the war on terror, they'll do very well in November. This illegal worker problem is directly linked with the war, as the leaking border is a clear security risk and the most obvious way terrorists would use to enter the country.
Could anyone tell the difference between an arab muslim terrorist that learned to speak Spanish and was dressed and shaved just like a Hispanic illegal migrant worker? I've lived in Texas over 30 years and I sure as heck couldn't. We need to build that stinking wall and put an end to this. So that if you don't cross at the border control checkpoints, you just flat don't cross. Period. But it won't be done because no majority in the U.S. government will ever have the manliness to do that. But that's what needs to be done and that would eliminate most of this problem. And if retail and grocery items cost 10% or so more because American companies are actually having to hire legal workers to do the work to bring in and make their product, then FINE! What real American wouldn't pay a bit more for goods to services if it meant that ONLY legal workers were paid for helping bring them to market? I'd gladly do it. It wouldn't cost the average consumer more than an extra few hundred dollars a year. If Americans can afford all those $50K cars, flat screen plasma screen TVs, DVD players, PDAs and cell phones that play video, take pics, and have games and text messaging, they can surely afford a few hundred a year more for food and some retail items to ensure that ONLY U.S. citizens and LEGAL visiting foreign workers are in this country working.

I wouldn't worry so much about illegal immigrants who are performing jobs that are too laborious for Americans. You signed up today just to post this insult?

Yeah, I was pretty surprised by that result. Looks like the public is pissed. The protests have backfired.
And our esteemed far left liberal One World new media are crying in their lunch time martinis.
