This should be a list of who is planning to close their business on Monday, May 1 in response of the Great American Boycott. We should compile it and boycott them ourselves if possible!
Remember to go shopping or work overtime on May 1!

I've been reading this thread for hours and I've come to some conclusions. #1-the GOP will lose Congress over this issue. #2-I'm going to begin setting up contacts for local produce and meat. There are some Amish farms near me and other cattle farms too. I'm going shopping for local food. I may start canning again. After what I've seen and read today, I may never eat out again or buy food that is handled by immigrants. #3-I won't be working my butt off for Republicans this fall.
Sigh.
The game is over. We had a good run, what 200 plus years.

My sentiments exactly! Nothing like having it shoved in your face by THE ILLEGALS, who spend MY TAX MONEY, either! It makes me furious!
I don't care how many say they pay taxes too. They sure as *ell don't pay what LEGAL citizens pay since so much of it is UNDER THE TABLE. It's the EMPLOYERS of these ILLEGALS who are benefiting from it, BIG TIME. No wonder they don't care if ILLEGALS DEMAND a day off and they have to close down. It only tells me what kind of EMPLOYEES they hire! Mostly ILLEGAL ONES!

There were several here in West Michigan. My husband is originally from Mexico, here legally, and a citizen for over 20 years. It took 14 years for some of his family members to be able to come up here. They were all told that if they did not show up for work Monday, not to bother showing up Tuesday.
Sunday, my brother-in-law was in a Mexican store. There were several people in there, talking about how they had to buy everything Sunday, because the store would be closed on Monday. He laughed out loud and said "If you are closed tomorrow, I'm going to Meijer's. (a large everything store). I have to eat!" They all looked at him, but didn't say anything, and he left laughing.

Don't they know that it's capitalist globalization that brought them here and, in part, are the ones who want to give them their precious amnesty? That is apparently where the President is coming from. Of course they are right about the Kennedy lefties who want to give them amnesty. They are doing it to usher in communism.
Sea Ditto that. Both sides of my family came from Germany. All of them except the one who was brought here as a slave/conscript came here by legal means.
I knew only one grandmother. I never heard a word of German growing up until my oldest brother returned from a stint in the US Army in Germany. In fact, my parents hid their German heritage because of the Nazi stigma of their generation, even though their ancestors came here 2 or 3 generations previous. My mom always referred to herself (her temper) as "black dutch". I didn't realize that was code for German until I was an adult.
The closest any of my family ever came to welfare was my grandmother (mom's side) and my father drawing Social Security. Mom's parents were farmers. My dad was a self-employed machinist. Neither had much in the way of SS to draw against and neither lived long enough after "retirement" to draw much of that. None of the rest lived long enough to do that.
