Why?

He pleaded not guilty. If he's not guilty, he shouldn't have to pay anything.

Thats what I want to know...For an innocent man he sure shelled out some money for this investigation...I want to know what they threatened him with if he didn't make this go away...Because it does look like the prosecution won...

No really. Copping a plea means you plead guilty to a lesser charge. His charge will be dropped, and he will have no record or conviction. That's a face saving thing for the prosecutor, as is paying court fees.

If you and I did what this prosecutor did, we'd be charged with extortion.

Because it's a really good deal and it makes it go away. That's why.

Why? Pay 30k and go on with your life or take your chances with a trial. Easy decision.

He copped a plea.

Why?

Probably because he did do it.

On another note, who cares?

He's an admitted addict who's been in treatment for his addiction, while unnamed witchhunters who want to take him down have been energetically trying to invent a case against him.

Even the last time he went for treatment it was obvious this was coming. Rush is a smart man and so are his lawyers.

He did nothing more wrong than a misdemeanor. He'll be fine. And so will us Rush fans.
