The Left, Online and Outraged
The Washington Post ^ | Saturday, April 15, 2006 | David Finkel

Posted on 04/14/2006 11:15:21 PM PDT by Plutarch

In the angry life of Maryscott O'Connor, the rage begins as soon as she opens her eyes and realizes that her president is still George W. Bush... Out there, awaiting her building fury: the Angry Left, where O'Connor's reputation is as one of the angriest of all. "One long, sustained scream" is how she describes the writing she does for various Web logs...

---------------snip----------------------

What's notable about this isn't only the level of anger but the direction from which it is coming. Not that long ago, it was the right that was angry and the left that was, at least comparatively, polite. But after years of being the targets of inflammatory rhetoric, not only from fringe groups but also from such mainstream conservative politicians as Newt Gingrich, the left has gone on the attack. And with Republicans in control of Washington, they have much more to be angry about.

"Powerlessness" is O'Connor's explanation. "This is born of powerlessness..."

That has to be the ugliest human being on the face of God's earth. That would scare a dead person to death. The face that can stop a clock and time in its tracks.

Maybe, one day, everyone will understand that we're meant to bring people closer to Jesus Christ.

Then there'll be no "left wing" or "right wing" politics.

There will only be Communion with Christ.

As we say in the South:

"Fell out of the Ugly Tree and hit every branch on the way down."

"Ugly enough to make a freight train take a dirt road."

"So ugly that when she was born the doctor slapped her mother."

Maryscott O'Connor says her liberal Web log, My Left Wing, is "one long, sustained scream."

LOL.

Why doesn't that surprise me, looking at her photograph?

Watch out for the Dean Scream.

YEEEEAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

"They are lunatics on the rampage."

That is so true. I still have a few liberal friends, but it is getting harder and harder to be around them. All I have to do is mention how proud I am of President Bush or how lucky I feel to live in America and they start to go into Meltdown© mode. I used to do it just for the amusement value, but lately I've come to accept that most liberals suffer from very deep and severe emotional disturbances which often require some kind of medication. I've decided that it's often an act of cruelty to trigger such an emotional response. After all, I don't believe in cruelty to animals, and liberals and animals have so much in common.

I scrolled down a ways and found this:

I am on disability, due to an immune disorder that causes chronic pain and fatigue (fibromyalgia – what a bullshit diagnosis).

A professional hypochondriac. And enraged that the government isn't giving them MORE. Honestly, if she can blog for hours and hours, she could work a real job. Secretary, something.

"You have to feel sorry for the kid, doomed to grow up in that hell on Earth" ....and being stuck with his foul-mouthed, out-of-control mother's last name.
By the way, what excuse for a man would live with this woman?

I just find it amazing that a chainsmoking alcoholic is carrying the water for the far left even though they are officially trying to put the tobacco industry out of business...

Well, in a lot of places they don't let people smoke in bars/taverns anymore... so where else is this bar-hound/lounge-lizard/tavern-trollup going to go? She cannot clean up her nasty habits and be a “conservative.” Oh, the horror!

My father, Lieutenant Terence Raymond Roach, Jr. of the Third Marine Division, was killed on February 8, 1968 at Khe Sanh, during the Tet Offensive. I was born 3 months later, on April 29, 1968.

No wonder she is a lib, she has been collecting a check from the government from the time she was born until at least she finished college. I feel bad about her losing her father, but that does not give her the right to spew hate.

She doesn't drink, but poses with a drink that appears to be wine?

Is a writer on disability, yet writes a blog?

There have to be pics of her at some anti-war excuse for a Hate Bush rally. And she'd probably climbed to the top of a tall tree with a BIG banner.

I was thinking the same thing, being a mother was listed last.

I also looked up Maryscott in the Internet Movie Database (www.imdb.com) and she's NOT listed.

She's got Cindy Sheehan Syndrome...lie...lie...lie.

And it sounds like she promptly managed to get medi-medi in California for her chronic fits of vapors, so she's basically a life-long leech. But yeah, is well enough to maintain this blog, write, do research, link pictures... she's a parasite.

"victimhood"

Whenever my Dem friends go off on their rants, I try to pin them down (and calm them down) and try to actually discuss the issues rationally. It's usually a very ineffectual attempt, because they don't want to calmly and rationally discuss issues, they want to rant.

And you're probably right. Although they all have more material possessions than me, they feel that somehow they've been wronged. Usually by the ever mysterious "them". It's as if life has cheated them out of something that is rightfully theirs.
