DURHAM, N.C. -- Police attempted to search the dorm rooms of Duke University lacrosse players amid an investigation into the alleged rape of an exotic dancer at a team party, the school's president said Friday.

Warrantless search?
Hmmmm sounds like the cops are Blue Devil fans.
Apparently, many team members who were present at the house lived on campus, in a dormitory, and police tried to go fishing for something incriminating without a warrant, but were rebuffed.
The story specifically states dorm rooms. The cops must have been trying to search the rooms of other players, ones that didn't live in that house. Sounds like the DA is on a fishing expedition, looking for anything to keep this non-case afloat.
I didn't know that. I'd figured the R's would have at least a token opposition.
Or would find somebody.
Anybody.
Either that or the Moe, Larry and Curly Durham PD couldn't find the room for which they were looking. Campus housing is very confusing. If you read the search warrants that have been executed so far, there are very specific instructions on the route that must be taken to the address. I'd hate to have to do that on any college campus where the address is always building and room number and there are no streets.
The big news for me is in the last of the above article: Kim has spoken w/the defense and verified the team members' story. Is this new or am I just behind on the story?
And watch that "token" stuff.
Maybe something with a distinctive logo like this.
That is the first time I've seen it in writing. And thanks for pointing that out; I missed it when I scanned the article.
On local TV, the reporters say that Duke lacrosse shirts are selling like the proverbial hotcakes at the Student Store.
she was on probation and this incident would have alerted social services, possible jail time from suspended sentence this is Tawanda Brawley 2, excuses to cover behavior that was a no-no
All I know about him is seeing him on TV with that woman in his face yelling "You better have those bad boys in jail by 5 o'clock or I'm going to call the FBI."
Anyone Nifong sees wearing one of those shirts will probably be required to give DNA. He's desperate to find SOMETHING to prolong his "case". LOL
And because of a bunch of kids who thought it would be a good idea to hire a stripper.
On the CourtTV message board about this case, someone posted what they heard Dan Abrams say earlier today after he viewed the party photos:

Did anyone here watch that segment this morning?
I know.......I said a long time ago that it's a good thing she didn't claim she was attacked by a rich white guy during a basketball game at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Nifong would have demended DNA from everybody at the game!

I saw that and I think he is mistaken about the nails; I heard the attorney myself saying that she had her nails half on and half off, like she tried to put them on on the way over there.
The post from CTV:
I just heard Dan Abrams tell Amy Roback that he has seen the famous photographs:
1. There are 20
2. Timestamped from 12:00am to 12:41am
3. All of the guys shown are wearing short-sleeved shirts and shorts
4. The pictures indicate that she did her nails at some point during the evening, because of a lack of polish in some photos and red polish that appeared to have come off on a railing after she fell against it (I didnt really follow him on that one).
5. 1 photo shows a watch on someones arm consistent with the time stamp
Ha! I guess Barry Saunders and Ruth Sheehan wouldn't let them put the actual words in the title of the article..........LOL.
