I'd bet that the professors who felt "unsafe" have not even read those books. It is the ideas that are unsafe and they wouldn't want to be exposed to such ideas.

Apparently, being conservative is now a crime. Send in the thought police! Time for a little re-education.

It's not surprising to me. Sexual harassment is a catch-all type of charge used not only to suppress free speech and other constitutional rights, but also in personal vendettas.

You are right about Mansfield. My comment is not clear; the County is bigtime conservative.

The idea that government is subsidizing and controlling higher education is ridiculous.

I remember when I went into a Borders Bookstore in Massachusetts to look for a copy of "Unfit for Command". When I asked, the clerk looked like I put a dog turd under his nose. He smugly looked up and said "No, we don't have it..."
So I said, "Fine. I would like to order a copy."
His face was...priceless!

Savage was put under investigation by OSUs Office of Human Resources...Better to have a sister in a whorehouse than a brother at OSU!
Of course the same could be said of M and MSU.

, saying that the book suggestions made them feel unsafe. If these book suggestions make them feel unsafe, then God help them if they should actually get into a logical debate with anyone. They'd probably pee their pants in fear.

Something's missing from this story, like why an investigation for sexual harassment would make sense. Something has been omitted here which is needed to understand what's going on.
