Ok, here on FoxNews we have, oh abut 1000K people gathering in white t-shirts in Dallas. If you aren’t paying attention to this, you should be.

I am going to propose a heretical idea. We have 11 MILLION or so of these people who are HERE, and they are NOT going to be leaving soon. If even a third of those 11 million get even slightly militant, we have one VERY serious problem. VERY, VERY serious. Here is the idea: Against the strident advise of the all the lawmakers in Washington, we just give them all amnesty. Then the GOP leads the drive to register and assimilate these under grounders, get them English language, insurance, paying taxes, and all the legitimate trappings of being a US citizen. Why? Because then they will be LOYAL to us and the United States. Otherwise we have an occupying force on our shores, one that if it turned violent, oh man… I don’t even want to think about it.

The Rally is so far peaceful. And I hope it stays that way, but we have to address the problem, and fast. We all need to get on board with this simple fact, no matter what is done, there is NOT going to be a solution that makes anyone overly happy. Let’s just buckle down and do what NEEDS to be done rather than what we WANT done. If we don’t lead the way, then the Illegals WILL. That is NOT a pretty thought!

This issue is a big part of the reason that Bush's approval rating is around 35%. He has been horrible on this issue and has betrayed his base, his party, and the oath he swore. Never before have I been so angry at a Republican president over anything. I regret the time I spent campaigning door to door for him in 2000 and my votes in 2000 and 2004. His immigration "policy" will be a disaster for our country.

Watch out!!!! This will be the new tactic at Antiwar rallies as well... the Protesters will be instructed to carry the US flag right side up and lots of them, with their accomplying message (only one... Troops home now). They won't carry the communist or proterrorist stuff either.


This will make it much more difficult to freep the antiwar rallies.

Here's a scenario:
I want to build a computer that is great for gaming and graphics. I want to make a mod of a game to enable players to fight in a space combat in the new Battlestar Galactica realms. My idea is that if it's good enough to make an impression, the big gaming producers will see a demand and make a real game similar to mine.
I can't afford it, so I start selling the tobacco I'm growing to make the money. Selling homegrown tobacco is illegal without a license.
Now, should I be allowed to keep what computer hardware I've purchased with funds from selling my tobacco? AND, should I not be fined and imprisoned for violating the law? It was done for a good cause, right?

Just a thought.

You have put forth several good ideas. The only thing I don't agree with is #2.

The way I see it, if we shorten the visa period, more people will think "the system" is against them and more will try to come here illegally hoping for that great amnesty from the US Senate. I think we are better off leaving the visa time alone. I am not for lengthening it by any stretch of the imagination.

Also, I agree with your 5th point about increasing time served for illegals, but I don't know if the judges will go for that one.

Any adult who is caught here illegally and deported should have ZERO opportunity to ever become a citizen of the USA.

Why dont we just give all the illegals the state of California. They can split up the land as they see fit, raise their own taxes and support themselves. Then they can reincorporate into the nation of Mexico.

Please Mexico take back California and your trash, and leave us alone.

DONT let them turn this into a white against latino issue. If they succeed at that we lose. It is a legal vs illegal issue.
When they try to make it white vs latino they are actually implying that ALL latinos are illegal aliens.
I always remind these folks that many good vietnamese and other nationalities are put on hold through the legal process because of illegals already in the USA.

Cut off all govt services to anyone undocumented, make them pay for any service other than education, make it a felony to hire an illegal, make it mandatory to check the background of SS#, build a solid wall, then come back in two years and see how many are left that want to stay.

There are so many "good" immigrants, it is a little hard to say no more.

Most are not saying no to immigration, but they will not tolerate illegal immigration.

My wife is a Patrick Henry American. I say that, because for 3 months prior to her naturalization ceremony she went around telling everyone, “Just give me liberty or give me death.” And she did almost die in the immigration process due to severe reactions from a required INS immunization.

In August 2002 we applied to bring her then 22 year old daughter to America, and now as the adult daughter of a CITIZEN she will be able to immigrate here legally approximately 10 years after our application. In the interim she is not allowed to visit her Mom in this country, and that due to American law, NOT Russian. Five years after arriving she can apply for citizenship, and that totals 15 years. However, they would make illegal aliens eligible after 11 years. Some relatives of citizens have to wait 23 years to immigrate here legally, and add 5 years for citizenship for a total of 28 years. That doesn’t sound like the illegal aliens have to go to the back of the line to me. Not only that, but there are 4 million in line waiting to immigrate legally, and you would put 11 million illegal aliens in front of them. By the way, in the last 15 years almost twice as many immigrants have come here legally from Mexico than all Europe combined. What ever happened to truth, justice, and the American way?
