SENATOR SESSIONS ON SECURING AMERICA'S BORDERS ACT Mr. President, I thank Senator Leahy, ranking member on the Judiciary Committee. I have received just this afternoon in my office some disturbing news in the form of correspondence from the Congressional Budget Office. It suggests a number of areas where the amendment we are talking about here today, No. 3424, the immigration so-called compromise, violates our budget and the rules of the Senate. Let me read from the correspondence we have received. This is something, as you know, Mr. President, as a member of the Judiciary Committee, that we never discussed at all. It is not a matter we spent any time at all discussing as we moved forward with legislation which ultimately cleared that committee and came to the floor — legislation which I thought was not good legislation and which I opposed, and so did the Senator from Texas, who just relinquished the Chair. We didn't discuss the financial impact of the legislation before us. Stand Up For America !

While reading just the first paragraph or two, the word 'Episcopal' came to mind as I was still a member of the church at that time. The church newsletter reported on a diocese meeting where resolutions were brought before the church to support this "freedom ride."

There were several other resolutions before that convention that came directly out of the Aztlan agenda. Illegals were already obtaining interest-free loans from the church credit union to set up cart businesses in Los Angeles.

I opened my eyes to how secular the Episcopal church had become and how completely hijacked by a leftist agenda. The naming of the openly gay bishop was not the main reason I left the church, although that was repugnant, but it was all the political stuff leading up to it.

I had some very traumatic experiences due to this in my parish.

Thirty-six of those arrested were in the country illegally, according to court documents. The immigrants arrested are foreign born who've been convicted sex offenders guilty of rape, sodomy, assault with intent to cause physical injury, sexual abuse and sexual misconduct, endangering the welfare of a child, reckless endangerment, course sex conduct and possessing a sexual performance by a child.

The youngest of the victims was three-years old.
