SENATOR SESSIONS ON SECURING AMERICA'S BORDERS ACT Mr. President, I thank Senator Leahy, ranking member on the Judiciary Committee. I have received just this afternoon in my office some disturbing news in the form of correspondence from the Congressional Budget Office. It suggests a number of areas where the amendment we are talking about here today, No. 3424, the immigration so-called compromise, violates our budget and the rules of the Senate. Let me read from the correspondence we have received. This is something, as you know, Mr. President, as a member of the Judiciary Committee, that we never discussed at all. It is not a matter we spent any time at all discussing as we moved forward with legislation which ultimately cleared that committee and came to the floor — legislation which I thought was not good legislation and which I opposed, and so did the Senator from Texas, who just relinquished the Chair. We didn't discuss the financial impact of the legislation before us. Stand Up For America !

I like the article by Charles Krauthammer I already discussed because he manages to explain the point so clearly and yet it doesn't sound radical or hateful, but rather logical and practical. And that is key in convincing people to our side. I believe.

Logical and practical is good. I'm sorry I missed that but FR sometimes is post and run. I would appreciate if you posted again. I missed it before and I am curious and looking forward to reasonable agreement on this. Personally, I am absolutely against one country invading ours, I am very for legal immigration from a wide variety of nations, I am FOR every single thing our founding fathers had written in the Constitution.

Apparently he's playing some semantic game, pretending that he doesn't see that the MSM and the Dem/libs have cast the whole issue of border security and illegal aliens as "the immigration issue." Or maybe he's just really dumb.

I very much agreed with Charles Krauthammer's views on this. He has an incredibly sharp mind. Here is my post in which I have laid out my view of the issues involved in this whole debate and tried to build some consensus among those of us who oppose the amnesty SELL OUT strategery our dunderheaded pols seem to favor.

I think that it is close to what C. Krauthammer has said. What do you think of it?
