April 7, 2006 -- IMMIGRATION-BILL SURPRISES HOW do you slip legislative poison past a U.S. senator? Bury it on page 302 of a bill.
The Senate's Democratic and Republican leaders yesterday announced a compromise on an immigration bill - with some details still to be worked out. But details that may continue from the bill passed out of the Judiciary Committee should definitely be deal-breakers.
Like that surprise hidden on page 302 - which would replace the country's entire bench of experienced immigration judges with pro-immigration advocates.
With a few exceptions, today's immigration judges (who serve for life) are dedicated to enforcing the law, and they do a difficult job well. This bill forces all immigration judges to step down after serving seven years - and restricts replacements to attorneys with at least five years' experience practicing immigration law.

What would we do without leaders like Rush who help us take back our republic?
He seems to be the first to let the Mexico official racism genie out of the bottle. Now the MEXICANS have more than their share of explaining to do, don't they?
"Official racism," amen!
That's how I got my FR name, when Mexican Foreign Minister Ernesto Derbez stated, about one year ago, that if Mexico couldn't get the "whole enchilada" at one time, i.e., unlimited unlawful migratory access to the U.S. plus all the freebies, then they would get it one part of the enchilada (la enchiladita) at a time.
I like using the enemy's language against them.

The biggest 'bomb' hidden in America today is the one ticking on the Hill in SC. The Enemy Within.
If they will not attend to an invasion in progress or much less do much to thwart it , then when will they ever heed the call to duty?
A duty they willingly sought to defend the US Constitution and its laws and then swore an oath to fulfill same as elected reps of this nation.
While citizens convicted of felonies are routinely stripped of many of their rights. Paging Alice in Wonderland.
Well keep at it because our fellow gringos are treated like dirt down in Mexico, I know for a FACT.
I hope Kris Kobach runs for office again. He was rather narrowly defeated last year in a very blue district, in large part due to hostile intervention by Bush Administration for Adam Taff... the district ended up staying Democrat. He narrowly edged out Lackey Taffy* but lost 55-45 to Dennis Moore, after depleting resources on Taff, who spent $775,000 in the primary. (In comparison, Kobach only spent $1,211,000 TOTAL; Moore spent $2,362,000 and was unchallenged in the primary.)
(*Kobach ran a very more positive campaign; the derisive nickname for Taff is mine.)
SESSIONS was awesome a couple of times yesterday..but last night, whe he was picking that bill apart, bit by bit..
I almost decided to move to Alabama, just so he could be my Senator..LOL
The press release says it was introduced in May, 2005. Thomas says it was introduced in May, 2005. Where's the problem?
boy, that's the equivalent of allowing only criminal defense lawyers to hear violent-crime cases!
It could happen!
Oh wait, you're already in a great place! LOL.
Question: Which is the worst state in terms of Senate "representation?"
California, Massachusetts or New York?
Double-triple yuck, huh?
I'm all in favor of putting Cardinal Maphony in with some of the rapists whose sense of sexuality and right and wrong was destoryed by Maphony's priests.
(No, this isn't the wrong thread... Maphony is calling for his priests to practice civil disobedience by breaking immigration law.)
I don't think Tony is going to help on this issue.
The problem was that it hadn't been updated and I wanted to find a list of the related bills. I finally found the related bills at www.senate.gov/pagelayout/legislative/b_three_sections_with_teasers/active_leg_page.htm.
Evil has always thrived under the excuse of ignorance.
Democrats = Evil.
Republican Senators = Evil, and just smart enough to make themselves look Stupid.
Notice I say only Republican Senators. In my years on the hill, I met dozens upon dozens of highly principled, idealistic conservative house members. And only one trustworthy Senator who is still around, Coburn (OK). The rest would sell their own mothers into the sex-slave industry, as long as they got rights to the internet postings.
I seriously tried to give just one answer to your question, and I can't.
They are all equally bad...and the Senators, unless they QUIT to run for POTUS, are all ensconced for life, it seems.
>> can stay there (which most WANT to do anyway, to be with their families where they speak the same language and don't have to wash bathroom floors and pick pesticide-laden vegetables). <<
Have you visited Los Estados-Unis de l'America*, lately? The new way is to bring your entire family over, and defiantly refuse to learn or speak any English at all.
*If my Spanish translation is bad, fine, so be it.
