If it was my kid he assaulted like that hiding behind the cloth wouldn't do him any good if I got hold of him...

Dittos.

If he did that to my kid, the only cloth he'd be hiding behind would be his burial shroud.

Wow. My word, this "youth minister" sounds like he's got a bushel full of problems.

I wonder if he's getting paid while on administrative leave?

When I was in service we had a game called war ball. It was played on a football field with a soccer ball. The object of the game was to get the ball to the goal post............. by whatever means necessary, meaning............no rules whatsoever. No protective equipment either.

Why was the idiot wearing his glasses during a game of dodgeball? I could understand the minister getting steamed if he were playing golf and the kid started throwing golfballs at him, but dodgeball?? Isn't the object of the game to hit as many opponents as possible with dodgeballs?

I am reminded of Robert Duvall as a preacher going after the 'youth minister' (schtupping his wife)...

Duval beat the holy philanderer with a baseball bat hit him right in the church picnic basket...

Not justifying what the minister did (he has no business in that job) but it says the kid knocked his glasses off, i.e., was aiming to hit him smack in the face despite glasses.

He had already tried to do it once before and probably got warned. (just a guess)

The kid probably deserved a little bit of a whuppin.

Speaking as someone whose kid had a front tooth broken by just such a bully during a dodgeball game - you are not supposed to hit someone in the face with all your might, espcially a younger kid or someone with glasses.

I didn't kick the kid who did it to my son, but got no satisfaction from the parents for over a thousand dollars worth of dental bills.

and kicking him in the groin during a dodgeball game.

Never play dodgeball when the other guy is playing dodgeballs.

Dodgeball Hit >>

maybe the liberals running the school system have a point. I know that many school no longer allow dodge ball because of the violence associated with it and the high rate of injuries.
