You cannot win this battle by going after the illegals themselves. You have to focus on the employers that are their enablers. Make it so they can't get hired, and then they will no longer want to come to this country. That is the only way to win the war on illegal immigration, and make no mistake, it's a war.

Well, Trav, I haven't watched or listened to the news as I've been involved in several other things today. However, the rain is POURING DOWN in Los Angeles, harder than it has for over a year. This is the rainiest day of the season. Coincidence?

I have many friends and family that this is going to probably cause major splits with.. but I see most American "hispanics" in support of these mexicans (at least in my spheres). I watched the markup of Specter's bill yesterday. The allies for us were Sessions, Kyl, Cornyn(while he was there). Kyl went toe to toe with Kennedy but didn't have support.

Stupidity was rampant around the table.

My view is that to get a secure border and enforcement on immigration law it will be a major battle in conference with the House.
