Now hear this:
Thanks to John McCain, Free Republic will shut down tomorrow at high noon for 30 days. No non government approved electioneering messages may be transmitted over the internet for the 30 days immediately preceding a primary election.
That is all.
The above exercise was just a drill. But if John McCain has his way with his proposed rules for regulating political free speech on the internet, this is how we will be forced to operate in the coming election cycle and all election cycles in the future until we can get the unconstitutional McCain-Feingold act repealed.

If the thought of losing your right to express yourself online makes you mad, it is high time you let Senator John McCain know how you feel.

John Mccann should just worry about the businesses he has in Viet Nam with the Kerrys and leave the freedom to the freepers. ONWARD WITH FREE Speech.
Are they going to shut down Stock boards like RagingBull.com?
They have political threads.

ROTFLMPO!
I wish it weren't true, Clintons. I wish I could say that after 6 years of Republican rule that we lived in a world where such a law wouldn't even have had a chance of being discussed in the halls of congress. Unfortunately, we've wasted a lot of time and political capital over the past 6 years and are closer today to a police state than we have ever been in our history.
Here's my "recipe" contribution:
Arizona Yellow Belly Rino Sandwiches
Ingredients needed : One Arizona Yellow Belly Rino (washed completely until clean with Rio Grande water ONLY), flour tortillas, and taco sauce.
Utensils needed : US Army issue flame thrower, woodchipper, cement mixer, 4 x 8 ft folding table, paper plates, paper towels, and a cash box with $100 in mixed bills and change (this will be explained later in the directions)
Directions: Since the head of an Arizona Yellow Belly Rino is EXTREMELY large, and will IN NO WAY fit into a normal or commercial size oven, use the flamethrower to cook the AZ YB Rino until fork tender and it no longer emits any sounds or gas.
Tip the cement mixer 45 degrees from it's straight up position. Next, move and place the woodchipper's discharge so it is aiming DIRECTLY into the opening of the cement mixer.
With the woodchipper running, insert the AZ YB Rino into the intake of the woodchipper.(When the head goes in, it WILL strain the chipper due to it's EXTREME hardness, so do the head SLOWLY,.The head interior is empty so it won't take long at a slow speed)
When the chipper is finished, start the cement mixer and add the taco sauce until mixed. You are almost ready to start serving !!!
Next, using a vechicle with a trailer hitch, move the cement mixer and other utensils to the nearest non-fenced US area of the US-Mexican Border. Set up the table, and place the paper towels, plates, and cash box on the table.
When you start seeing people coming from the south toward you heading north, those people will probably be a little hungry. Offer them each an Arizona Yellow Belly Sandwich, at a price to be determined by you. Make change from your cash box if needed.
When you have sold all your Arizona Yellow Belly Sandwices, that money should cover the cost of the rental of the woodchipper, flamethrower, cement mixer, towing hitch, folding table, paper plates and towels, gasoline for your vehicle, and leave you with a nice profit for your labor. And if you are tired after all your hard work, you can take part of the profits, and offer to pay some of your customers to help you with the "clean-up".
Be sure that you buy the cash box outright. Do not rent the cash box as you will be able to use it again when you make your next batch of Arizona Yellow Belly Rino Sandwiches!!
Enjoy!!!
FUNNY!!!
Jim your fight is NOT with McCain, it is with President George Bush...so please change the keywords, and headlines..."
Hah-ha..what a riot!
Dubya Bush is a so-called "leader", right?
NO veto on CFR. NO bully-pulpit opposition. Explain that, please.
Now also explain why/how he signed Teddy Kennedy's boondoggle of an Education Bill five minutes after he became President.
Now also explain why the borders have been left wide open since 9/11, and ostensibly, a amnesty program proposed .
I wish some of you people would stop guzzling koolade by the barrel and making excuses for this man.
So let's review:
President Bush signed TWO stupid nonsensical bills sponsored by McCain AND Kennedy.
DUH!
I feel lonely already.
Bush is culpable in this for not vetoing the CFR bill. That having been said, what's done is done and at this point McCain simply must be stopped.
Keeping the man from getting the 08 nomination will be good; having the good people of Arizona retire him will be better.
BUMP!
No vetoes, period.
Thanks for the thread, Jim.
I thought the goal was to fight McCain..how silly of me.
Can I assume Free Britannic will still be on line?
Thank you for having the guts to say what 98% of the Freepers have ignored...
"That having been said, what's done is done and at this point McCain simply must be stopped... Keeping the man from getting the 08 nomination will be good; having the good people of Arizona retire him will be better."
Personally, I never thought McCain had a chance of winning the GOP nomination anyway.
But to soley blame McCain for CFR slipping through Dubya's veto pen blindly ignores just who had the power to STOP IT:
PRESIDENT BUSH.
I hope that the same will apply to the DUmp, Moveon.org, CodePinko, etc...
But I'm not counting on it...
Insane, ain't it?
Yet he said he WOULD have vetoed the Dubai Deal opposition (eyeball roll.)

Read this...and see what you think.
The veto would have been overridden, but you already knew that, but decide to blame the President anyway, instead of the impetus of CFR, mccain and the liberal media that props him up.
Anyone still wonder why I won't be voting for John in 2008?
