Now hear this:
Thanks to John McCain, Free Republic will shut down tomorrow at high noon for 30 days. No non government approved electioneering messages may be transmitted over the internet for the 30 days immediately preceding a primary election.
That is all.
The above exercise was just a drill. But if John McCain has his way with his proposed rules for regulating political free speech on the internet, this is how we will be forced to operate in the coming election cycle and all election cycles in the future until we can get the unconstitutional McCain-Feingold act repealed.

I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!
If the thought of losing your right to express yourself online makes you mad, it is high time you let Senator John McCain know how you feel.

Even if the law takes its full force, I'm not shutting up. Our lawmakers may have to be shamed by the sight of people being arrested for speaking their minds, or simply overwhelmed by the number of people who refuse to shut up, but I'm not going to let some idiotic time restriction decide when and where I make my opinions known. Let them try and shut me up.
If they get away with destroying our freedom of speech, they'll be stepping into a scenario where TSHTF.

Congress would still get it shut down if they wanted.
By out-and-out bribing them, or by threatening them with cutting off funding.
Since the only thing that matters anymore is money...

"freerepublic2.com?
yeah that could work but they would have to host it in a foreign country that has freedom of speech enshrined in their constitution so that their Congress can not pass a law abridging it"
I didn't mean that as any kind of permanent solution but only a place to regroup and decide what to do.

I haven't seen any articles saying Talk Radio is affected by MF/CFR. I think radio shows are exempt because they're part of tradional old media that isn't involved in lobbying according to MR/CFR. The Left is trying to regulate radio by bringing back the "Fairness Doctrine." As a great philospher once said, "the world is an endless power struggle."
