Re: Your attempt to shut down political free speech on the Internet

John McCain, you treasonous bastard, I challenge you or any of your traitorous cohorts to find even one thread, one post, one paragraph, one sentence or even one lousy word posted to this web site that is not fully protected by the First Amendment!

And I will extend that to one chapter, one group, one poster or any group of posters on this forum. Name one assembly, petition, letter, protest, meeting or rally convened, filed, submitted, attended or supported by members of this forum that is not 100% protected and guaranteed as free speech or free assembly by the First Amendment!

Your McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform legislation is a treasonous act. You and your cohorts are attempting to subvert the Constitution of the United States of America, the very same constitution that you swore an oath to defend, so help you God! That makes you a domestic enemy of that great document and a traitor to your country. Yes, and Benedict Arnold was a war hero before he turned traitor too.

How dare you even think that you are qualified to sit in the oval office! Ronald Reagan's office! President? Hah! You miserable excuse for a two-bit political hack, you're not even qualified to shine Ronald Reagan's boots. If you do run, I'm afraid you're gonna be at least one vote short. It'll be a cold day in hell before a traitor like you ever receives my vote. And that's a campaign promise you can take to the bank.

You can take your fascist campaign finance laws and the jackbooted FEC anti-free-speech enforcers you are empowering and put them where the sun don't shine. And if this post is in violation of your unconstitutional law, shove it too!

Paraphrased from In the Face of Evil: Reagan's War in Word and Deed:

The Beast never dies, it simply changes form. The Beast has known many forms: Bolshevism, communism, Nazism, fascism. The Beast has had many names: Lenin, Stalin, Mussolini, Hitler, Tojo, Mao, Pol Pot.

The Beast cannot co-exist with freedom. The very first freedom lost is the freedom of speech, then religion, knowledge and the arts. Anything that empowers the individual must be destroyed. The state must control all.

Power to the state.

Power as an end to itself.

Those who speak out against the Beast are labeled extremists, radicals, warmongers. Churchill, McCarthy, Reagan.

The Beast must be contained, appeased. We must have "Detente" at any cost. Direct confrontation of the Beast must be avoided.

Appease him and pray the wolf may pass our door.

Free speech must die.

The Beast never dies.

What fairy tales would that be ?

This one:

What someone needs to do ( with Jim's permission) is to send Jim's letter to Brit Hume for his "From the Political Grapevine" segment.

A poll of about 200,000 FReepers shows that McCain only gets less than 10% support of Conservatives, Republicans, and Independents.

I wonder if King Brit would mention FR's anger at McCain?

You know as well as I do, that's not true. FReepers don't represent the cross-section of America.

Saying MC is a pos of a person, I think is wrong.

You don't have any problem with McCain's "Keating 5" behavior or ditching his first (drug addicted) wife to obtain the current "trophy wife"? Neither of those behaviors shows good personal integrity. McCain is a gun grabber...no different from Al Gore except for the "R" following his name. In this link, McCain is offering a gun show ban to add more pain to the attempts to extend the "assault weapon" ban.

Wrong.

He walked out on his wife when she was dying of cancer. That's a little different from the situation with RR.

Its my understanding his wife left him and that the reason was partly due to his conservative politics.

there hasn't been a RINO - however heinous - that you didn't like and defend.

I have respect for good men and women of accomplishment. Being a senator, governor, president, etc. is very difficult. No matter what you do, at least 40% of the people you represent are going to hate your guts.

Most every "rino" I defend is a person of accomplishment and when taken as a whole is a good person.

The only person who will agree with you on every issue is YOU. And you are not god. You are not a dictator. You are a very small part of a republic/democracy. If the only people you like are people who agree with you, you will like no one and you will find your life to be empty and lonely.

and I liked paul wellstone. he was a good man. I did not like any of his positions, but I'd trust him to repay a loan or babysit my children.

No, but those here represent a cross section of the GOP base.

On Terri the base was divided. FR polls indicated as much. On the ports the base was divided. Polls on FR evidenced the same attitude. On Miers in the second poll opinion was overwhelmingly against her confirmation. That aptly represented the base. Opinion was very highly in favor of Roberts and Alito, that evidenced the sentiments of the base.

McCain's not hitting the general election without getting through the GOP base. Unless he takes the Independent road. And the GOP base despises him. It is newsworthy that an active conservative board such as this one registers such high negatives against his probable candidacy.

Please quote Beagel8U's precise statement where he said that Free Republic, or the poll he mentioned, represented a cross section of America.

They're all here like the annoying white noise to distract the rest of us from the ultimate objective.

That was my statement.  A statement I stand by.  You have a problem with dealing with reality?  That's your problem.  Not mine.
