John McCain, you treasonous bastard, I challenge you or any of your traitorous cohorts to find even one thread, one post, one paragraph, one sentence or even one lousy word posted to this web site that is not fully protected by the First Amendment!
And I will extend that to one chapter, one group, one poster or any group of posters on this forum. Name one assembly, petition, letter, protest, meeting or rally convened, filed, submitted, attended or supported by members of this forum that is not 100% protected and guaranteed as free speech or free assembly by the First Amendment!
Your McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform legislation is a treasonous act. You and your cohorts are attempting to subvert the Constitution of the United States of America, the very same constitution that you swore an oath to defend, so help you God! That makes you a domestic enemy of that great document and a traitor to your country. Yes, and Benedict Arnold was a war hero before he turned traitor too.

Well, that's the joy of living in the Internet age. The election cycle starts a lot earlier now. There were also no blogs back then to influence opinion and to get people name recognition.

WHile I agree, the way for the Republican Party to prevent this is to field a candidate who is palatable to Conservatives in the party. Fielding someone who is anti-gun, pro abortion, anti-1st Amendment, etc, is not the way to do this. I will NEVER vote for a candidate who is against the RKBA.
In case you are wondering about Bush's statement about signing the renewall of the existing AWB if it passed his desk, THAT was never going to happen.
The Dems wanted desperately to add on to it (not the original ban), and the pubbies still had it fresh in their minds that gunowners really helped put them there. That statement was pablum for the masses, but without any meat.
If I wanted someone to run on the Democratic platform, I'd be at DU or somewhere with the moonbats.
One more thing, Has it dawned on anyone that the Dems and the MSM are setting this up? The MSM is trying to tell the Republicans who is and is not "electable". What a crock.
BUt they know they are not dead yet. They just got done leading the COngress and the masses in a panic party over the DPW/P&O deal, and know they still have some juice left. If they can just shut us all up, they think they have a chance to survive--and it is their survival they are fighting for.
