The Talk Shows
Sunday, March 19th, 2006
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Vice President Dick Cheney.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Sens. Chuck Hagel, R-Neb., and Jack Reed, D-R.I.; Olympic speed skater Joey Cheek.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Sens. Richard Lugar, R-Ind., and Joseph Biden, D-Del.; Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Ahmed Chalabi; Afghan Foreign Minister Abdullah Abdullah; former national security adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski, former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.
Where are the stories about the latest exposition on WMD?
Darn, I thought that would be covered on every one of these shows.
;-)
I expect Chris to nail Durbin as well. The sound bites alone will be worth hearing, IMHO.
It will be good to have Murtha and Durbin on the record to the point that they are buying into all the false claims against President Bush, and they represent the leftist propaganda.
"Incompetent" seems to be the DNC word du jour. To while away the time and provide some levity and leveling blood pressures, I suggest we count the number of times Durbin/Murtha use it.
I tried and tried to get through to CSPAN this morning, during the bloggers appearance, but to no avail. Rats!
Many hate the bast*rd up in and around Johnstown.
Julian Phillips of F&F started right off with the riots first thing this morning pointing out, get this, that this time it is Frenchmen who are rioting.
Nope, I am afraid young Wallace is rather hit or miss and I suspect today will be a rather large miss.
Hah! Like a drinking game? I'd be drunk by the time I go to church. Not good during Lent!
I didn't see Julian, but did see the riots on FNC - I just don't think most of the Sun Talking Heads will discuss it.
LOL! - Wow, amazing how insightful Julian is - Frenchmen rioting in Paris - - who would've thunk it ;-)
Thanks for sharing and starting my day w a chuckle!
Shouldn't the MTP description be posted with a towel alert. I'm betting Timmy will bring out the sympathy wagon for Murtha.
Then again, thirty-five minutes of mud, dirt, lies, and ignorance might be a useful exposition.

Huxley: The greatest triumphs of propaganda have been accomplished, not by doing something, but by refraining from doing. Great is truth, but still greater, from a practical point of view, is silence about truth." Old Media lives these words.

Noticed the anger at NBC & MSNBC (several times MTP boss himself commenting) this week & hyping the flaky poll numbers all week long?
May be, this?
Last tuesday, Russert received a subpoena from Libby's team.
Mrs.Russert at Vanity Fair expecting the same regarding Plame's photo-op, Cooper & Miller's interview.
Going to be lots of fun.
Good morning SC!
We watched the riots a bit yesterday too. Poor socialists. They riot for what they want without regard to just who is going to pay for it. Even FNC's reporter there didn't seem to really understand it how they could be rioting knowing how business worked. What a hoot.
But yes, had it been Bush the coverage would have been non-stop. I'm sure once they can figure a way to link this to President Bush, it will be covered.
Thanks for the thread. I have to get going to church and won't be back to nearly noon (First Scrutiny today). I am interested in what Turbin has to say, because he is almost guaranteed to say something insulting to the troops.
Morning to you and all. Didn't get a ping. So, add my name please.
THIS time maybe Russert will have to testify under oath....Fitzgerald took Russert's word BY PHONE that he had not had a discussion w/Libby.
LOL! You could get into singing some very creative versions of Amen ;-)
Well, I went last night, but, since I'm just on my 2nd cuppa java, I'm going to have to stay w that until later.
Cheers!
Is it just me, but has anyone noticed the recent spate of "disillusioned Iraq vet" stories and revival of detainee abuse claims? It's as if the war isn't going badly enough for the media, and they feel the need to create their own negative storyline.
They're COMMUNISTS Jamie... MARXISTS... you stupid twit!
