MIRNA BURCIAGA, OWNER OF EL CHANACO RESTAURANT, located at 19th St. and Maple St. in Costa Mesa, is against Mayor Mansoor's plan to have the Costa Mesa Police Dept. assist U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to arrest criminal illegal aliens.
MIRNA BURCIAGA is also a racial supremacist member/supporter of La Raza/Mecha/Maldef/La Voz
I guess that would depend which D.A. got a hold of the case - perhaps one who wants to curry favor with the Hispanic-American voters would indeed prosecute vigorously.
I don't think Bush is worse than a "thug" - some others here on FR do on this issue at least.
...who willfully wears, exhibits, or uses the authorized uniform, insignia, emblem, device, label, certificate, card, or writing, of a peace officer, with the intent of fraudulently impersonating a peace officer
Are you sure you want to go down this road?
Mayor Mansoor's plan to have the Costa Mesa Police Dept. assist U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has nothing to do with any actions to arrest criminal illegal aliens.
It does have to do with processing, those criminal illegal aliens, who are in the jail system, and see them deported.
Would you prefer criminal illegal aliens, be released from jails or prison, and returned to your neighborhood?
I would not want any criminals returned to my neighborhood, so if we can at least deport the illegals, regardless of race, then that is a good thing.
Why do you make a race issue out of enforcing the laws?
"Sucks that the law discriminates against those who break it...."
HA-HA-HA-HA! I love it!
Sure. Just as I can find ACLU lawyers here on FR.
What's your point?
A DA can charge anyone with anything. That certainly doesn't support your contention that painting "INS" on one's vehicle is against the law.
If I can find a D.A. to charge it, it could definitely be against law - there's always jury nullification, but you probably didn't like that when O.J. walked, right?
Establishing cause for the arrest of a suspected illegal alien, is more easy than you think. I could do it to 50 illegals, in 30 minutes.
I could effect a citizens arrest on that group, then turn them over to the custody of local police, or to the California Highway Patrol (State Police), for processing.
The laws are on my side of the argument, and I welcome MALDEF, to press a lawsuit, because, I would love to counter sue them.
Can a STATE resident effect a citizen's arrest for a FEDERAL civil statute violation?
"Well, let me see - the President called the Minutemen "vigilantes""
Last time I looked in the US Constitution, US Code, and California laws, there is no mention of "vigilante". There is no prohibiton against citizens and patriots, stepping forward, carrying guns, and torches, marching through the towns, to defend their nation, against an invasion, of illegal aliens, especially in time of war.
However, Webster's Dictionary, defines "vigilante", as one who takes the law into their own hands, especially, when the government fails to act.
So, you agree with the President then?
Join with us and other members of the community to learn about and to discuss the proposal of the Mayor Mansoor to enter an agreement with the federal government to cause to comply with the immigration laws. This theme affects us to all. Its impact is very extensive and itself is not limited to the immigrant community. We expect that you lend your voice to this very important discussion.
Or something like that.
Out of curiosity. When you see a person of Mexican descent in a restaurant, how exactly is it that you ascertain their immigration status on the fly?
2. Mansoor sounds Lebanese. Must be one of the good Christians that came here prior to the 1960s.
3. How is the food at El Chinaco?
The constitution has plenty of provisions for due process. Something that torch carrying mobs notoriously lack.
I would use the word "Unite" rather than "Join" - especially since this this the UNITED States made great by immigrants - home of the brave and land of the free - where Lady Liberty gives hope and seeks the world's poor, tired, huddled masses . . .
I have to turn in - good luck with this mob though ; )
When you catch up to this post, just know I will make every effort to respond to you sometime this week - thanks for the discussion.
