Mayor Mansoor's plan to have the Costa Mesa Police Dept. assist U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has nothing to do with any actions to arrest criminal illegal aliens.

It does have to do with processing, those criminal illegal aliens, who are in the jail system, and see them deported.

Would you prefer criminal illegal aliens, be released from jails or prison, and returned to your neighborhood?

I would not want any criminals returned to my neighborhood, so if we can at least deport the illegals, regardless of race, then that is a good thing.

I would prefer criminals to stay in jail, and those who are doing nothing wrong besides being in the country illegally to get on the path toward citizenship. Why do you make a race issue out of enforcing the laws? I'm not the one who wants to paint a fleet of Crown Victoria's with "INS" and go scare people.
